The Groovy Lake House

Relax at the Groovy Lake House situated on 8-acres next to Lake Champlain (no direct lake access from property but 2 miles away), & a short trip to the Champlain Bridge leading into New York and the Adirondacks. Step inside our time capsule home built in 1974 with some fresh mid-century modern updates. Enjoy year-around fun with swimming, sight-seeing, hiking, leaf-peeping, bird watching, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, stargazing, pie-eating, and relaxing. Stay and take it easy.

This cozy cottage is on Blue Ledge Farm- a working goat dairy. It is a one-bedroom with a double fold-out futon in living room to potentially fit 4 guests. It is within 15 minutes of both Brandon and Middlebury, 1 hour south of Burlington. Pets are allowed, on leash. It can possibly include a farm and cheese tasting for an extra $20 per person (contact host in advance). It is the perfect place if you're an animal or cheese lover looking for a rustic and relaxing stay on a beautiful farm.

The Peasant's Quarters has an eat-in kitchen with a full-size stove/frig. In the bedroom is a queen-size bed. We also have a queen-size pull-out couch. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower and a private entrance with on-site parking. We are not far away from all the fun in Lake Placid/ Lake George or a day trip into Vermont. Located right in downtown Vergennes, this home of a local kilnforming glass artist houses her collection of artwork--her own, work of friends and favorite artists, and also her own glass studio. It is steps away from fantastic local eateries, a brew pub and cidery, the beauty and power of the Otter Creek River and Falls, the Vergennes Opera House. Middlebury is a 20 minute drive, Burlington, 40. Straight shots on Route 7. About the same on beautiful back roads.

Completed in 2013, the Guesthouse perfectly complements the 1871 Victorian home to which it is attached. Located on Main Street in historic Vergennes, Vermont, our home is one of several fine examples of the architecture of the 19th Century that grace our City. Our thriving downtown is a short walk away, boasting exceptional dining and shopping opportunities. Vergennes is a 20-minute drive away from Middlebury College, and 45 minutes from Burlington.

This is a spacious guesthouse/retreat where you can relax and unwind. There are great views and walking down the road is serene, with open fields bordered by woods and teaming with wildlife. In the winter you can Nordic ski or snowshoe right outside your door, through fields and woodland paths down by an active sugar-bush. We currently have chickens as well as my friendly dog Annie who loves to play. We also have a young kitty named LB who is a pip.

The Beebe Farm was started in 1921 by Fred and Pearl Beebe. There are now four generations of Beebe's who have farmed this land. Over time these spectacular views have been created by hard work and devotion to agriculture. We offer this rental for you to relax and enjoy the breathtaking panorama of Lake Champlain, the Green Mountains of Vermont, and the eastern slopes of the Adirondacks.
