Welcome to Velouria, our cabin in the redwoods of northern California. With a cosy loft bedroom in the main house, a romantic wood burning stove, a guest cabin located on the property and an outdoor hot tub, full kitchen surrounded by vaulted redwoods. It has everything to make your forrest retreat perfect. It's close to downtown Guerneville and many beautiful local attractions, nature trails and renown vineyards. It also has a big comfy couch and great Entertainment Center for those rainy days!

Cozy Redwood Cottage Near the Mendocino Coast

Our peaceful cottage is nestled among the redwoods, a few miles inland from the Mendocino Coast. High ceilings and skylights make this space feel spacious, offering natural light, and views of the majestic trees. The surrounding community is special, with many residents having lived here for decades, tending their homesteads. On your way in, you are likely to see cattle, horses, pigs, and chickens. Deer, coyote, foxes, mountain lions, owls, hawks, vultures, and bears also frequent the area.

Well behaved pets welcome! 240 and 140V plugs available in driveway - bring your own plug for car charging.

Start your morning sipping your french-pressed coffee on the expansive deck overlooking the creek, then make those tough decisions: hike the mountains, head to the beach, wade in the creek below, or just soak in your hot tub. Sorry, no animals allowed due to host health issues.

The cabin offers a modern trim with a cottage feel. Try our outdoor shower situated in the remnants of giant red wood. Explore the town and come back to a quiet and secluded refuge. Kick back and relax, no need to make the beds or finish the dishes, enjoy every min of the house because it’s fully serviced after every stay.

Mini-Mod #3 at The Sea Ranch.

Hidden among the redwoods of California’s Sonoma Coast, roughly three hours north of San Francisco, Mini-Mod #3 is one of only two individual residences at The Sea Ranch listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Designed in 1967 by Joseph Esherick and George Homsey, the small modernist retreat is one of the defining homes from Sea Ranch’s formative years, pairing Northern California modernism with understated contemporary comforts.
