Hidden on a hillside in the old town of Wirksworth, the cottage has amazing views over the Derbyshire Dales and pretty Wirksworth. A cosy space for two filled with character and charm, the cottage has a lounge with logburner, kitchen diner, master bedroom with cinema-style projector and separate bathroom.

Based in rural Derbyshire our cabins are hand-crafted to a high standard. Overlooking glorious english countryside. You may have to share the grounds with our resident heavy horses, the rabbits and the badgers to name a few. But if you're OK with that, you have use of your own hot tub to watch them all go about their day. Once you've had your fill of nature from the decking, come inside to a fully kitted kitchen, TV and en-suite bathroom. Not to mention the king size bed. We allow one dog x

Matchbox Cottage is an idyllic retreat to the South East of the Peak District, perfect for up to 4 people. We have some of the best walks in England right on our doorstep. Dog friendly, one small or medium dog welcome. Situated only a 4 minute downhill walk to the centre of the historic, picturesque village of Wirksworth. Pubs, restaurants, cinema and shops are all close by. Our cottage has been lovingly restored and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
