For your convenience we can arrange a private transfer from the airport. There is also a parking garage close to the apartment in case you have car or decide to rent one. Marquês de Tancos Residence aims to be also an Artistic Residence, exposing and revealing to our guests the work of Portuguese artists. The present exhibition of Alexandre Barão photographies – exclusively taken for Marquês de Tancos Residence – create a captivating atmosphere. In the lobbies and interior stairs you can appreciate his brilliant work and also other temporary exhibitions of Portuguese artists. At our residence in Lisbon Historic Centre, we will do everything to ensure you have the most enjoyable stay possible. Alfama is one of the oldest city districts, extending from the banks of the Tejo to the castle. Explore its many historic buildings, while the labyrinth of streets offers a tiny plaza, unique shop, funky cafe, or wonderful view around every corner. You have the subway in a 5 minutes walking distance and in 10 minutes the two train stations, Cais do Sodré, that take you to Belém and Cascais, and Restauradores, to go to Sintra. Places that you must not miss visiting! Also, you are 5 minutes from Martim Moniz, inicial stop of the famous 28 Lisbon Tram that follows a two-directional linear route: Martim Moniz – Graca – Portas de Sol – Se Cathedral – Rua Conceição (southern Baixa) – Chiado – Sao Bento – Estrela - Campo Ourique. The Marquês de Tancos Residence is a perfect starting point for anyone who wants to discover Lisbon, and we can also provide Tuk Tuks that can pick you up to take you around the city.
