Like it’s name, this quirky apartment was historically an old workshop which was once occupied by mechanics. It has since been converted into a stylish and modern apartment perfect for all. There is 1 bedroom and 1 pull out bed in the lounge meaning it can sleep up to 4. Based centrally in the historical market town of Leek, the apartment is located close to popular attractions like Alton Towers, Peak Wildlife Park and the glorious Peak District. This romantic retreat is set in the heart of the picturesque village of Butterton which overlooks the beautiful Manifold Valley in the Peak District. The lanes are lined with pretty sandstone cottages and an idyllic ford runs through the cobbled street below the cottage and a great country pub is round the corner. Dove Cottage is a former Victorian fishing lodge in a unique setting on the banks of the river Dove. It is situated 3/4 mile from the pretty village of Alstonefield and 5 1/2 miles north of the bustling market town of Ashbourne. The cottage overlooks a tranquil stretch of river running through Wolfscote Dale and a historic former water mill. A riverside footpath passes the bottom of the garden leading north along the river to Hartington and south to Dovedale and the Stepping Stones.

We live within a small estate that is surrounded by the beautiful country side that is also a part of a quaint little town of Cheadle and surrounded by other small towns consisting of boutique shops. You will be pleased to hear that we are surrounded by lots of local attractions such as, Alton towers, Churnet valley railway, Trentham gardens and lots more.
