Our cottage is situated directly on the Five Pits Trail, which provides miles of trails for walkers, bike and horse riders, there are also fishing ponds 500m along the trail. It's a beautiful character cottage newly renovated to a high standard. It is ideally situated, with Hardwick Hall 5 minutes drive away and the Peak District on our doorstep. Matlock, Crich Tramway Village, Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall within half an hour. We also have a hottub for you to relax in at the end of your day.

We are located close to the Peak District, with Chatsworth House not far away. It is surrounded by Oakerthrope Nature Reserve and is perfect for those wanting to explore Derbyshire. We live next door and there are friendly cats and a dog that live on the property. *please note Hot Tub needs to be booked BY THE GUEST DIRECTLY with ‘Midland Hot Tub Hire’ for price, to arrive at the property the day before arrival to be filled and heated by host. You may have to share the grounds with our resident heavy horses, the rabbits and the badgers to name a few. But if you're OK with that, you have use of your own hot tub to watch them all go about their day. Once you've had your fill of nature from the decking, come inside to a fully kitted kitchen, TV and en-suite bathroom. Not to mention the king size bed. We allow one dog x

Hazel Lodge luxury log cabin

Hazel Lodge is new to Sam’s Derbyshire cottage. This beautiful lodge is set on a working farm between south wingfield and crich. The lodge has 2 bedrooms 1 double and twin rooms, the bathroom is spacious with a shower over the bath. The open plan living kitchen and dinning area is great for entertaining with a 40” smart tv. The hot tub is very private with looks down the valley great for star gazing! There is a big decking area with table and chairs for long nights sat outside.

Our cottage is self contained and attached to our house. The gardens are shared with us but are very spacious. There is a sunken hot tub in the garden. Set in a tranquil Peak District village with local pub, there's a small shop in the pub that's open during pub opening hours. Perfect location for walkers, climbers or cyclists and there are several lovely National Trust houses, including Chatsworth, within easy driving distance. Ashbourne is our local market town.

Close to Ashbourne, Belper, Carsington Reservoir and Kedleston Hall. Plenty of country pubs nearby serving local ales and hearty food.
