Get away from the city with an authentic farm-stay experience! This working 200acre Black Angus cow farm is located 15 minutes from historic Appomattox and 30 minutes from Lynchburg and Liberty Univ in a quiet, peaceful rural setting. The entire house is yours while the farm owner lives in the separate basement apartment. Observe farm activities, ie, moving the grass-fed cows from pasture to pasture, see some long horns nearby, or just kick back and relax on one of the property's ponds or creek!

The Loft has one bedroom with one queen size bed for 2 guests. If your 2nd guest needs an extra bed, you can add a king size blowup mattress OR a twin mattresses for $25 per night. Please message me your extra bed preference and pay me directly with cash or card before you checkout. If your Airbnb reservation includes an extra guest fee, there is no additional charge. Built in 1979, Roby’s Cave offers a peaceful and memorable place to stay. Located on the James River in Amherst County this unique underground, riverfront home on 125 acres of farm land, features 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, full kitchen, living room and laundry room. River access for all guests. Frequent wildlife sightings include deer, bear, turkey, beavers and eagles. Come enjoy the river, watching trains pass by and taking in all that nature has to offer.

One bedroom, basement apartment in well kept house. The apartment is furnished with antiques and set on the corner of a farm with good views. The apartment has a private entrance and parking just outside the door. We are a retired but active couple who live upstairs. The kitchen has a Keurig coffee maker and is stocked with coffee, tea, coffee fixings, snacks, and light breakfast items. We are 25 minutes to downtown Lynchburg and 20 minutes to Appomattox.

Heron Hill 49 is a place for people who want to unplug, get away, and appreciate the quiet of country life. It’s an ideal space to relax or to work without distractions. Guests will enjoy walking the property, following Spring Creek, and exploring the remains of an old, hand-built stone dam in the woods. Birdwatchers will find an abundance of species.
