The Globe’s Flat

The Globe is a CAMRA Award winning, wet sales only, real ale & live music pub in the the medieval wool town of Clare. The flat is directly above & has it's own front door to stairs leading to kitchenette with fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle & toaster, bathroom with power shower, sitting room & 2 connected bedrooms. Dogs are welcome, but must be pre-booked. Expect noise from the pub whilst open! We shut by 11pm every day except Sunday when we have live music from 2pm - 5pm, then shut at 7pm.

Lavender Cottage, Clare

Lavender cottage is small yet perfectly formed and retains many of the original 400 year old features with some modern touches to make your stay a comfortable one. Nestled amongst the ancient buildings of Clare. From your doorstep, there are pubs, independent shops, tea rooms, castle, museum and church. For nature lovers the River Stour Valley is a four minute walk away, with plenty of open countryside to enjoy. Just an 1hr 30 minutes drive from London, on arrival ditch the car and chill out.

Rural cartlodge on a family run arable farm

A cosy cottage on a small working family farm near the Essex/Suffolk border. Within walking distance of the beautiful village of Castle Hedingham. It is the perfect base for exploring the countryside, enjoying the wildlife, visiting the local venues or the historic villages of Finchingfield, Thaxted, Lavenham and Long Melford, which are all within a 30-minute drive. Alternatively, there is boating on the nearby river Stour, or just enjoying a drink at one of the country pubs along its route.

Victorian country cottage

Centrally located to enjoy the beautiful Suffolk countryside, Honeybee is within walking distance of the delightful village of Cavendish, a short drive to Long Melford, Clare and historic Lavenham with its famous timber-framed houses and just 12 miles from the Cathedral town of Bury St Edmunds. Honeybee is a well-equipped end of terrace. The village has a pub boasting delicious home-cooked food, a Chinese, fish and chip shop and social club along with two mini supermarkets, and pharmacy.

Dynes Cottage at Finchingfield Holiday Cottages

A large thatched cottage dating back 400 yrs, Dynes Cottage is set in a complex of 3 houses & surrounded by beautiful countryside. With a private outdoor courtyard & a beautiful orchard, you can relax with the whole family. Sleeps 10. The cottage is just 1/2 a mile from Finchingfield, one of the prettiest villages in the country, with great pubs & tea rooms. The cottage is hosted by Catherine who lives on site. Acorn Cottage (4 bed) can be rented in conjunction with Dynes cottage.

Toppesfield Wine Centre is a contemporary ‘Scandi-style villa’ with a large open plan lounge/dining area which has a giant picture window overlooking Toppesfield Vineyard and full height glass sliding doors looking out onto a beautiful garden/ private patio with a large outside dining table and a luxurious day bed. It has a luxury bedroom with superking bed, view over the vineyard, luxury bathroom, tennis court and 4 person jacuzzi (2nd bedroom available via Airbnb 4 person listing)

The Hayloft

The Hayloft offers recently built, luxury accommodation right in the heart of Clare. Perfect for couples, there is so much to see and do here - with restaurants, pubs and traditional tea-rooms on the doorstep. Beautiful countryside awaits those who enjoy walking - the Stour Valley runs through Clare Country Park - or why not visit historic Bury St Edmunds, with its theatres, restaurants and world-famous Greene King brewery. NB we no longer accept bookings with dogs.

Situated along a quiet footpath, next to the River Stour and a few minutes walk from the High Street, it is conveniently placed to explore the delights of the Suffolk and Essex countryside. Blue Dog Quarters is a bright and stylish first floor apartment with a sunny decked terrace. It is located above SmallTown coffee shop and bakery on the High Street in the centre of Clare, Suffolk's smallest town. Clare's pubs, cafés, excellent independent shops and country park complete with castle ruins are all within easy walking distance and the town makes an excellent base for exploring further afield in this pretty corner of Suffolk.

2 Bed Cottage beside Clare Castle & Country Park

In the centre of mediaeval Clare, next to the Clare Country Park and river, Spring Cottage provides the perfect setting for you to explore the local area. The house has a sitting room, kitchen and a charming courtyard garden with small pond. Excellent cafes, restaurants, pubs, supermarkets, unique shops and antiques are all within 100 yards. Upstairs are a double and single bedroom, and a bathroom with separate bath and power shower.
