Haere Mai! If you’re looking for a slice of paradise, a tranquil haven where you can rest and revitalise, this may be the place! This unique, 100yr old beachside cottage is named for the Kōtare (kingfishers) that make the cliffs their home. All are welcome here! Once in the cottage looking out to sea, you’ll feel miles from the city yet downtown is just a 10 minute drive away. Located right above a semi-private beach you can enjoy the view from your deck, or simply step down to the sand.

1km from the beach/restaurants/ pharmacy/supermarket in Mairangi Bay (10 mins walk/2-3 mins drive).The guest area is below the main house & has its own entrance. The studio with HRV ventilation, heatpump and double glazing is ideal for solo travellers, couples with or without one small child. Please note that our downstairs studio has a low ceiling (1.98m high). Breakfast: Tea/Coffee (Nespresso Machine)/Cereal and milk included. Bed configuration: 1 double bed 1 king single bed

It is close to bus and train, local cafes, a shopping centre and a walking track that surrounds the Orakei Basin.

New architecturally designed eco-friendly tiny house located near the beach and cafes. Double glazed cedar french doors provide a seamless flow from the kitchen and living area to a private deck for alfresco dining. Guests can relax on an outdoor sofa while enjoying a meal on the deck. Set in a garden setting, the house is self-contained with an eco composting toilet, unlimited WiFi, full shower & fridge/freezer and kitchen. Maximum of 2 guests.

Our waterfront accommodation is a great place to relax and unwind conveniently located overlooking the picturesque Putiki Bay. Sit on the deck and watch the sunset across the bay. The bay is a tidal and is a great spot for kayaking, paddle-boarding and swimming at high tide. With private waterfront views, the cottage is in with in easy reach of the islands beaches and local amenities, with the Ostend market and supermarket only 10 min walk.
