You’ll be welcomed into my opened kitchen and lush garden to master the fine art of cooking the perfect paella, following my grandmother’s recipe. I'll explain how to prepare it and will share with you some stories around that traditional dish. We are going to cook, enjoy wine, tapas and a delicious meal together whilst I give you an insight into one of the most coveted recipes in the world. This experience is family friendly, kids are very welcomed! (Children under 6 years doesn't pay). Other things to note: Our secret garden has also a comfortable and cozy space were we can enjoy the experience and the scene in case of having not a perfect weather that day.

In this amazing day we´ll go for a quick but rewarding tour around Boquerías´s Market, followed by a warm an relaxed Paella lunch in a lovely apartment just 5 minutes walking away! I will show you where I buy all the fresh ingredients for the Paella, and we will walk through the fabulous market, my favorite place in Barcelona, so that you can see in detail how one of the most iconic markets in Europe lives. From there we will go to my house, where we will have appetizers, I´ll teach you how to prepare the Spanish "bread with tomato", we will make sangria together, and the delicious Catalan cream for dessert, while we wait for the Paella :). All this in a beautiful living room with balconies to the Ramblas, with soft drinks, beer and good wines, it´ll be a day that you will enjoy a lot! Reception with a cava glass at our rooftop in a very hip loft space in the creative industry district of Poble Nou, with a unique terrace facing the Villa Olimpica skyline, as part of the Air B n’B Experiences. Then a brief explanation of the traditional rice dish, We will start by preparing the broth, cutting all the vegetables and preparing the seafood. Once it's up and running we will start with the prep of the famous sangria. Once the rice is finished we will eat it on our rooftop terrace enjoying the Barcelona view, For dessert, we will prepare an amazing Catalan Cream to end the experience.

This 4-course workshop lasts approximately 2.5 hours and is a great introduction to the world of paella and Spanish cuisine.  You will be greeted by one of our hosts with a glass of cava and then walked through the concept behind The Paella Club and the ingredients we work with. Afterwards, guests will organise themselves in groups of one-two per cooking station, where they will find every utensil and ingredient needed to cook each paella under the promise of a fully immersive and dynamic experience. Depending on the size of the class, several varieties of paella will be made at each class so that all of the guests are able to learn how to create and taste more than one type of paella.  You will feel at home while our staff guides you through our "10 secret paella steps." As a preview, we'll give away one of the 10 secret steps: Step 1—take a sip of our premium wine. The paella workshop itself has a duration of 45 minutes to an hour. After the workshop is over, while the paellas are finishing cooking, you will sit and enjoy other courses made by our chef as well as your paella creations with Catalan wine pairing. Discover the wonders of the famous mountain Montserrat, a national Park and place of pilgrimage from millions of people around the world. We will meet at Barcelona centre and we will begin our experience. Join your guide in an air-conditioned private (not public transportation) vehicle in Barcelona for a drive up to Montserrat, named after its peculiar aspect with multitude of rock formations, it literally means saw mountain. Enjoy the view and hear about Montserrat’s Basilica and Monastery, home of la Moreneta (Black Madonna). Unlike other tours, we offer an early access to visit Montserrat monastery before the crowds arrive. Once there, you will enjoy a guided tour (45 minutes), where we will discover what is Montserrat and its secrets: we will visit the farmer’s market, enter the basilica and touch the famous Black Madonna (available on our 8:30 am and our 1:30 pm tour). After that, during your free time (2-hour) you can take a walk to the Saint Miguel cross to enjoy a breathtaking view of Montserrat, take the Sant Joan Funicular, and more.
