The Colonel’s Inn

Built in 1929, this old cozy country home was built with a country store. In the 50’s they were joined. A big room was added to the store portion, and is now a very unique meeting hall that features live music on occasion. Not part of the inn rental, but this space can be rented as well. (Pricing varies for these spaces) Gorgeous back porch with lots of plants. 60 miles to New Orleans, 15 miles to Baton Rouge. 2 miles to 1-10. Walmart 5 miles. Convenience store 500 feet.

Fish from the rear deck and clean fish at the on site cleaning station. . 2 wood swings and a park style charcoal grill.

Our quaint yellow cottage sits on a quiet street where you have plenty of space to hear the cicadas and breathe in the Louisiana air. We're situated directly on the Amite River and this cottage is perfect for anyone who loves to fish! We provide a place to dock your boat, and can even recommend the best routes along the river that we often take ourselves. Please note that we do not allow pets at the cottage so get your fur babies a sitter and come on down.

Bayou Getaway

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Right on the water with a private back deck, fully fenced in area making it safe for children to play. Within walking distance to a full service station that serves hot, delicious Cajun food daily. Bring your kayaks and launch them at the brand new public kayak launch next to the house. Be on the lookout for swamp wildlife right off the deck and enjoy 400ft of water front for great fishing!

The Blue Heron Guest House-6 acres on the bayou.

Take it easy at this unique getaway. Located on Bayou Manchac on a gated 6 acre estate. The Blue Heron Guest House is a great place to just get away, enjoy nature, canoe (provided), fish the pond or the bayou, birdwatching (lots of birds), etc. The property does have a boat slip and a small boat launch for those who want to explore the area by boat. Bayou Manchac connects to the Amite River nearby. We can’t wait to share our paradise with you!
