The Old School House and former teacher's residence of Gundy is a unique and historically significant building in this small village, 20km east of Scone in the Upper Hunter. Lovingly restored and renovated, it has wide verandahs with French doors leading off from most rooms. The cottage accommodates up to 6 guests and suits those wanting to wind down by the fire pit in winter or on the back deck watching the sunset in summer - whilst enjoying the bounty of the Wine Country region. A picturesque 25 minute drive will have you in the heart of the wineries during the day - then back to Claret Ash Cottage by night to wine, dine and admire the view.
