Hello dear visitors! We are a team of two passionate travellers (Ieva and Nicolas) who settled down on a faraway fjord in Iceland and are excited to meet you here. We are in the middle of our life project - renovating a beautiful old house in the centre of unpronounceable Fáskrúðsfjörður. Our little cozy studio is a result of our own imagination, we created it ourselves with lots of love and personal touch. Looking forward meeting you here and sharing our tips on discovering beautiful East.

East Fjord House

This is not just a place to stay – it's a chance to truly experience Iceland in its purest form. Our home is surrounded by nature, away from the noise of daily life. The view changes with the seasons – from northern lights in winter to golden sunsets and green meadows in summer. The house blends modern comfort with Icelandic charm. It’s a perfect spot to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the silence. Guests often say this place feels magical – and we agree.

Peaceful cottage blue in the countryside.

Beautiful, warm and cosy cottage for 2 people. It's located in the countryside 18 km from the town Egilsstaðir on road 931. It's on the south side of the lake on the way to Hallormsstaður the biggest forest in Iceland. The next grocery store is in Egilsstaðir. Good paved road, passable all the year. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful landscape, nice hiking trails down to the lake or up to the hills, good place to see the northern lights in wintertime.

Surrounded by peaceful nature on the countryside of East Iceland these spacious and cozy cottages offer, for example, view over the Lagarfljot River and Dyrfjöll mountain. Around the place is a great wild-bird life over the summertime and here you can take a walk in the nature and enjoy some alone-time. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and a furnished terrace with BBQ. Egilsstadir town center is just 30 km away.

Lambhus Glacier View Cabin

Enjoy the views of Vatnajökull Glacier in your own private cabin. It has sleeps for up to 4 guests as well as a kitchenette and a private bathroom. Every cabin has free wi-fi. Guests can bring their own food and cook simple meals or visit restaurants in the vicinity. Nearby, you will find beautiful hiking trails and various activities, including glacier hiking, snowmobile or jeep tours and boat tours on glacier lagoons.

Beautiful Cottage at Kaldá Lyngholt 2

The cottage is on a small and quiet family run farm, 8 km to the town Egilsstaðir. These small houses are cozy and heated with geothermal energy, the cottages can be booked all year around. We provide linen, towels, tea and Coffee for no extra charge. The surrounding area consists of a river, trees, northern lights, beautiful nature and during the winter time you might even see some reindeers wandering around.

My place is close to the airport, family-friendly activities, the swimming pool and restaurants. Close to everything the east has to offer. You’ll love my place because of the location, its close to everything you'll need. It is recently renovated so you will feel at home. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families (with kids). The address is Midgardur 6, apartment number 102.

A tiny house for you to embrace the simplicity and charm of a compact living space. Adjacent to the Historic Farmhouse. It is opposite the Community Church and Graveyard, Also next door there is our Restaurant, open from June to August ´26. The restaurant takes pride in serving an ever-changing menu inspired by local ingredients, ensuring a delightful culinary journey during your stay.

In Fljótsdal next to the farm Hóll in Norðurdalur is Hólshýsi. A cosy cottage that is surrounded by endless adventures and sounds of nature and wildlife. Close to countless highlights such as Hengifoss, Hallormstaður, the Wilderness Center and Laugarfell.

Gíslastaðir - Cottage

The cottage is located near the owner’s farm with lovely views over the nearby stream to the mountains behind. It is around 12 Km from Egilsstaðir and is well situated for exploring the spectacular nature of East Iceland. The farm offers horse riding.
