The apartment shares a Victorian building with its sister apartment, The Loft, and the Village shop. Opposite is the warm and friendly village pub, The Cross Keys, and 200 yards away is the village green with off road parking provided in the car park opposite.

"HAY LOFT" quiet rural location, close to Durham

The Loft is located above our garage in a large garden and field totalling 8 acres. We're at the end of a farm track in the middle of the countryside, half a mile from the nearest road meaning ZERO traffic noise. The headroom is kind of tight along the two sides but, at 6 feet tall I manage okay. Perfect for two, but can easily cope with 4 people. The Loft is accessed by external concrete steps. The accommodation is not suitable for children but we've squeezed them in on occasions.

Set in a conservation area of Bishop Auckland, this spacious and welcoming flat is in a great location for visits to Auckland Castle, exploring the Pennines and visits to Durham. A modern, well equipped, sumptuous and comfortable one bedroom apartment in the creative end of town. Maintained to a very high standard. Great location with views onto the river. An easy, 15 to 20 minute scenic walk into the city centre. The apartment has decent wifi and the dining table provides a nice calm working environment. There is a lift in the building.
