Black Bear Cottage boasts an unbeatable location, a 3-minute drive to downtown Black Mountain, “the front porch of Western North Carolina”. Although nestled in the woods for privacy, the cottage is just minutes away from fine dining and shopping. Whether you’re taking in the fresh air on one of the 9 hiking/walking/biking trails or enjoying watching the children play on the community playground (all within 150 yards of your cottage doorstep), Black Bear Cottage is the perfect family getaway.

Find a refuge in the heart of NC at this cozy haven at the base of Rainbow Mountain. Nestled at the end of a gravel street right next to our residential home, our cottage offers a secluded space for rest and relaxation while remaining a mere stone's throw away from the attractions of Black Mountain. Snuggle up with some tea during brisk weather, or enjoy a morning coffee on the porch while the sun is shining. You can expect occasional visits from ducks, rabbits, deer, and bears. Come and rest.

Cabin in the Clouds

Cabin in the Clouds is a beautiful, one bedroom vacation home in a secluded, private community that's very quiet and has been renovated in 2023. The bathroom was completely remodeled, new living room furniture, new marble top dining room table, refurbished bedroom, new floors. There's a beautiful view from our porch that has deck furniture and propane grill. Inside is an open layout with open beam ceiling and pine paneling. Black Mountain is a quaint vacation town, you will love this place.

One of a kind artist owned and designed cottage in heart of East-West Asheville. Walkable to restaurants/shops, 2 miles from downtown and 5 minutes to Biltmore Estate. TWO beds total. Spruce Fork Cottage is a cozy cabin using some solar energy with 2 bedrooms, living/dining area, kitchen, and bathroom with shower. It is a prefect getaway for 1 to no more than 4 people and is within 20 minutes of Asheville, 15 minutes from Black Mountain, 10 minutes from market/gas. Areas to hike are close by or accessible via the Blue Ridge Parkway. Mount Mitchell is an hour north on BR Parkway, Carl Sandburg is about an hour South. Everyone is welcome.
