Surf Sanctuary Retreat and Sauna: Beach & Redwoods

The Surf Sanctuary retreat is minutes away from remote beaches and redwoods. Please note: Redwood Park is 30 minutes away. The sanctuary is a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom guest house with a full kitchen and bathroom. We are located within a 5 minute drive to the beach, and 30 minutes away from Redwood State and National Parks. Perfect launch location for hiking, surfing, cycling and enjoying this amazing place. Enjoy our beautiful quiet space for relaxation and renewal. The space is shoe and scent free.

An Architects Studio- In a Secluded Forest

This incredible space has been the inspirational hub for designing the most creative projects in Humboldt during the past 18 years. Now it has been reborn as an immersive space to enjoy the redwoods. Every inch has been thoughtfully designed to allow our guests to feel the enveloping majestic nature of the surrounding forest. Upon arrival, a golf cart awaits for your journey through the woods, to the upper landing of the raised boardwalk crossing over a seasonal creek bringing you to The Studio.

Blue Lake Sanctuary

Surrounded by pastures, it's a short walk to the Mad River for swims and walks. The Mad River Brewery is less than a mile up the road. Excellent mountain biking is 1 mile away. In a 15 minute drive you can find the hip town of Arcata, surrounded by redwoods and hiking as well as a majestic coastline. Sundays 10 am to noon we host a family friendly ecstatic dance in the studio adjacent to the apartment. Expect music at that time. Come join us! Public Yoga classes are Tuesday & Saturday am.

Relax with the family at this peaceful home right outside of Blue Lake. Country setting but just 10 minutes from Cal Poly Humboldt. Close to Redwood State Park, beautiful beaches and amazing hiking trails. 3 bedrooms with queen beds and 2 full bathrooms. Spacious living room and outdoor seating overlooking the large yard, orchard, and barn. 1 car garage with laundry. Depending on the time of year, help yourself to apples and plums in the orchard and fresh eggs from the chickens. Cheers!

Having lived on the North Coast for over 40 years we're a great resource to make your stay memorable.

We are 5 minutes to shopping and dinning and another five to the fabulous Moonstone Beach.

Private entrance with deck right outside your door with table and chairs for outdoor enjoyment.
