Our basecamp apartment is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast looking for an escape to the countryside. We are 1/2mile from the C&O Towpath and Potomac river and less than 2 miles from Harpers Ferry and the Appalachian Trail. Our location makes this perfect for couples, families or groups looking to hike, bike, or raft. Make use of our deck, grill, fire pit, and bike tools. We recently got internet. But no TV, and weak cell signal. The kitchenette has a hotplate, toaster oven, and coffee maker.

Mountain Church Cottage offers a great stay in the hills of Middletown, Maryland. Activities nearby include access to the Appalachian Trail. The roads are a perfect challenge for the serious cyclist and runner, but it’s just a 15 minute drive to the flat terrain of the C&O Canal bike path. For kayakers, Potomac River access is in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. It's just a short drive to Antietam National Battlefield. And for those who enjoy a glass, there are a number of wineries in the region.

Spring starts late Feb early March with all the daffodils. You will want to stay...longer. The most comfortable beds ever, comphy sleep should be priority #1. Yes, the HOT TUB is OPEN! We have 4 other nearby full vacation rental homes in Harpers Ferry and have been hosting visitors since 2011. Conveniently located in a semi-rural neighborhood setting with large yard, hot tub, fire pit and large field in the back. The home has wifi and free off-street parking. Slope side home in the winter months to Snow Riders. Lights and potentially other guests on the slope may be seen from the home.
