The Hammock Haven Island Dome looks at sunsets on Annabessacook Lake. Sleep comfortably, cook your favorite meals, hammock nap on a dock in the water, bask in the glow of the fire or wood stove, hear the calls of the loons, play on the rope swing, canoe, kayak, or paddle board the lake, explore the trails of this 14 acre wooded island, and then repeat as needed. Enjoy sweeping vistas of the Atlantic Ocean from this 2002 home perched among spruce trees above the rocky coast. Watch for bald eagles and seals. Fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves. Walk down to the edge of the ocean to lounge or picnic. The intrepid visitor can scramble along the shore. Walk 6 minutes or drive the 0.1 miles to the park entrance. Hike the Little River Trail. Imagine staying in a yurt in the woods of Chebeague Island, nestled peacefully in a private clearing in the woods. Explore island beaches and hidden trails. This yurt is “glampy” inside with leather chairs and a substantial log bed. The yurt has a rusticator kitchen with all of the basics for cooking, small fridge, stovetop, sink. Water. Outdoor fire pit. WiFi . Check ferry options on Casco Bay Lines or Chebeague Transportation. Host will provide transport to/from ferry to the yurt.
