Winter or summer, the Little River Retreat will help you step away from the world - but still be minutes from Reid State Park, Five Islands Lobster, the Georgetown General Store, and the rugged beauty of Midcoast Maine. This is our family camp, with our own books, games, and “vibe”. It is not a hotel, and some things may not be “industry standard”. We love the unique charm of this space and place, and many repeat guests do too. We hope you will treasure (and care for it) as we do!

Feel the magic in this quiet secluded hillside retreat. A private half mile walk down the driveway will end at brick sidewalks leading you to Lincolnville Beach, one of Maine's stretches of sandy shoreline.

Near Ocean Point. Large walk-in closet. Two large flat screen TVs. BBQ Grill, Fire Pit, and outdoor Dining area with table and chairs. Corn hole and ring toss games. Firewood in the shed for guests. Outlet for EV charger available for small fee, upon request.

SNOW SWEET, A Yurt for All Seasons

Snow Sweet at The Appleton Retreat is very private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt faces the Field of Dreams and has a nice view of Appleton Ridge. It features a private therapeutic hot tub on the deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.

Perched atop the Coast of the Atlantic Ocean

Enjoy sweeping vistas of the Atlantic Ocean from this 2002 home perched among spruce trees above the rocky coast. Watch for bald eagles and seals. Fall asleep to the sound of crashing waves. Walk down to the edge of the ocean to lounge or picnic. Walk 6 minutes or drive the 0.1 miles to the park entrance. Hike the Little River Trail. The house has vaulted ceilings, panoramic views, fully equipped kitchen, and whirlpool bath.

Salty Dog Hilltop Guest Suite (permit #STR26-57)

This guest suite is located in the lower level of our NetZero post & beam home which sits on a mountain overlooking the Penobscot Bay. The over 600 sq. ft. large open floor plan is spacious & clean with a large private patio. The location is quiet and peaceful while only 5 minutes from the action in downtown Rockland and only 15 minutes from Camden. This is a great home base to explore all that the Midcoast area has to offer.

The Sparrow’s Nest Charming Country Cottage

The Sparrow's Nest is located on a country road approximately 5 miles from downtown Boothbay Harbor. The Sheepscot River, it's coves and nature trails are close by. Enjoy the beautiful country surroundings, gardens, and the miracle of nature. What a delight to wake up to the sound of birdsong while enjoying a cup of local coffee, or sitting by the outdoor fire sipping wine and taking in the beautiful night sky.

Owls Head Oceanview Cottage Cedar Hot Tub/Sauna

This ocean view cottage on the side of Mt Battie has a master suite with a private bathroom and a wood burning fireplace, a living room with a queen sofa bed and another wood burning fireplace, sauna, a large 6 ft wide Maine Cedar hot tub off the back deck. Hiking trails to Mt Battie summit and the rest of Camden Hills State park are accessible from our parking lot.

Breathtaking oceanfront private cottage. Hinged staircase to second floor sleeping loft. French doors open to wrap-around patio and lawn that slopes to Ocean. 180 degrees of views. Perfect spot for relaxing or having a campfire in the evening. Enjoy your morning tea or coffee watching lobster and sailboats or kayakers explore and wander.
