Morning to Evening SUN SPOT on the PEACEFUL Secluded Garden + Patio, OVERLOOKING the NATURAL WATERFALL STREAM, WILDLIFE & often our SHEEP. The private entrance means the space is completely your own so kick back and enjoy a bit of TV or film, or find out more about the area and it's history The main room has a comfortable king size bed, TV and seating area. We are located less than 10 miles to Carlisle and a short drive to the M6 a gateway to Scotland, the lake district and Northumberland.

Hideaway Loft is a beautiful thatched, detached/entire property located in the small village of Laversdale, within Hadrian’s Wall Country, Cumbria. It features an enchanting garden with cottage garden style, surrounding stone walls, grottos, water and other quirky features. Willow arches protect a peaceful sitting glade beside a rill and pond, and there are various seating areas around the garden. The property has stunning views of the Lake District, the Pennines and the Scottish border hills.

We have excellent walking and cycling from site. The Pennine way is a field away, two disused railway lines, Lambley viaduct and riverside walks. The container is a 5 minute walk from the picturesque Talkin village which has a friendly pub serving food. A woodburning stove (logs supplied) ensures the container stays cosy in all weathers. It makes an excellent base to explore Hadrian's Wall, the North Lakes and the Eden Valley.. or a perfect stop off point on your way to or from Scotland.

Cosy shepherds hut on Hadrian’s Wall

A basic and cosy shepherds hut a few minutes walk from the Hadrian’s Wall trail, tucked away on a tiny campsite (Camping at Banks), a no vehicles site where you can enjoy the sounds of nature. The hut has a wood burning stove, bottom sheets and pillows. You can hire sleeping bags from us. There is a compost loo and outside sink but no shower or electricity. The hut is suitable for those arriving by foot or bicycle - there is NO PARKING on the site. Single night stays welcome!
