Positioned high in the hills above Waipu Cove, we offer a tranquil and modern animal-friendly base in historic Waipu, close to the beaches and town. The perfect spot to explore sunny Northland. Equestrians, you can arrange to bring your horse, ride in our arena or on nearby stunning Uretiti beach. If you'd like to bring your friendly dog, we can accommodate your furry friends. Our location is very quiet: no traffic noise, just the occasional sound of surf and birds. Not just for horse lovers.

Escape to your very own waterfront holiday with the extended family or group of friends. With two houses positioned on the one large section you can enjoy holidaying together yet have your space when needed. You'll have your own large grass area to kick back relax, play games with water access to paddle, swim and explore. At low tide you can walk across to the surf beach! With magic views at both houses you'll love an early morning coffee watching the sunrise or a cold one seeing the day out.

Tara Valley Cabin

A boutique, sun-drenched and special hideaway set on 5 acres of permaculture tranquility. Your own three private cabins are nestled near 800 year old trees and joined with decks and pathways for you to wander and discover your bath. The bedroom opens out to a covered deck, and the full kitchen has a covered area with a large outdoor dining table and gas BBQ. Up the steps to the bathroom with a fresh, waterless, European electric toilet. Close to nature, beaches, markets, walks, cafes and fun.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: We have Wifi available through out the property that sometimes has a weak/moderate signal. this is due to our location and sometimes bad weather

TARIFF Room 1 Queen Bed one or two people $175 per night Room 2 Queen Bed each extra person $40 per night. The accommodation is the ground floor unit of our two story house. It is 73sq meters with full kitchen and one combined Bathroom and Laundry. It is a modern, spacious and Self catering A two day booking is required on Public weekend holidays and 25th-26th December A 4 day booking from the 30th Dec to 2nd January We do not do couch surfing .. as they say

Taurikura Peninsula Seaview Private Cabin and Camp

Comfortable self-contained cabin for 2, sitting upon a stunning private hilltop site overlooking Taurikura Bay in Whangarei Heads. Affordable peace, quiet and privacy is our aim (1 night stays available most days). Grass camping site space available (campers #3-8 will need to bring own tent/bed/linen). I can provide made up floor mattresses for guests #3-4 if you are happy to share the small cabin space. Safe ample parking available on site.

Nestled overlooking rolling pastures, hills and lakes this peaceful, semi-rural studio retreat will leave you rested and relaxed. Inside is a comfortable king-bed, ensuite, kitchenette, indoor lounge and outdoor patio. You can enjoy a glass of local wine and cheese looking out to lush green landscape and the odd duck walking by. <10mins drive to Mangawhai Heads beach, estuary, shops, cafes, vineyards and eateries.
