The Donkey Dairy Cottage - Farm Stay

The Donkey Dairy is one of a kind! Nestled on the slopes of the majestic Magaliesberg, this working donkey farm is home to a variety of friendly farm animals. On your visit you will be greeted by our alpacas, chickens, donkeys, horses, goats and even camels. If you would like to replace your cell phone’s morning alarm with the crowing of roosters or replace the hooting of cars with the braying of donkeys, the solar powered Donkey Dairy Cottage is the place for you! Mana Cabin

The Mana Cabin is a self catering unit for 2. A cosy, rock & wood cabin with big windows looking out into the trees on all sides. The tiny-home was designed with the smallest footprint possible, maximising the outside spaces which features a bath, daybed, fireplace, bathroom and lounge deck. The space is cosy and beautifully designed. Downstairs you have a kitchen with a central dining island, couch, wood burner and workdesk. Upstairs the cosy bedroom features a super-king bed, bath and toilet.

Spoil yourself in our well equipped private ,peaceful Ziggysriver cottage on the banks of the Magalies River. Plenty of birdlife plus the resident Finfoot. Wake up to the sounds of nature and explore the trail of +-9 km , walking, cycling or birding. Visit Sterkfontein Caves and the Maropeng World Heritage Site in the Cradle of Humankind. Enjoy a dip in the cold water splash pool on a hot summers day ( Note the splash pool is closed from 30 April- 30 September) or sit by the open fire .

Shengwedzi - exclusive retreat

Shengwedzi is a charming 10 acre weekend hideaway situated at the foot of the northern side of the Magaliesberg in the Buffelspoort Valley, close to the Easterkloof and Tonquani Gorge. The original thatched roofed farmhouse, built in the 1920's, with its three surrounding cottages and rondavel, offer a perfect escape far from the pressures of city life for the exclusive enjoyment of a single group. It has a fenced area' The cottage is off grid supplying solar power. Therefor only laptops and cell phones may be charged. No other appliances may be used.

'River on my stoep'

'River on my stoep' is a well equipped self-catering cottage in the Hekpoort Valley. The wooden cabin is on the Magalies River and is surrounded by the sounds of nature - the haunting cry of a jackal and a chorus of frogs is our music at night. One of the few places that you can still see fire flies at night (in summer) A rowing boat is moored in front of the cottage, exclusively for our guests. 'Catch-and-release' fishing is permitted.
