One mile off the popular NC500 tourist route, our two pods and a Shepherd's Hut offer peace and quiet in an idyllic location with some amazing sunrises, sunsets and starry skies.

Constructed in 2021 it has been purpose built to the highest modern standards. Conveniently situated, Skeir a Lidda is easy to get to and is a perfect base from which to explore the islands. While the annexe is connected to the host's own house it is self contained and private. Friendly help and advice is right next door!

Modern appliances and comfortable furnishings, the cottage has everything you will need for a relaxing break.

Secluded cottage by the Sea

A unique home by the sea. A peaceful and private country road leads to this secluded cottage. The hot tub has views down scapa flow. The famous St Magus Way is accessible from this property . There is direct access to the sea for paddle boarding, wind surfing or sailing in the bay. Return to the cottage to an open fire. The extensive grounds also allow for simple walks or yoga. The cottage retains some of it's 19th century charm but has been renovated to be a practical and comfortable home.

The Old Smiddy, Huna, John O'Groats

Close to the village of John O' Groats and on the North Coast 500, the Old Smiddy (an old blacksmith's cottage) has been beautifully restored into a modern home, while keeping many of its original features. The cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 double bedrooms (both en-suite) and has a fold-away camp bed for use by a small child. The cottage offers beautiful sea views across the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands and is the perfect base for exploring Caithness, Sutherland and Orkney.

On the outskirts of the historic town of Stromness in the West Mainland of Orkney, this single-story barn conversion has one bedroom, an open-plan living/dining/kitchen space, and a bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. All on one level, the property is wheelchair accessible throughout. It has stunning views across Hoy Sound and out to the open Atlantic. Parking is available right outside, but if you visit without a car, regular buses from Stromness go to all areas of Orkney.

In the heart of the Scottish Highlands and directly on the NC500 route, is Borlum House Farm, a lovingly restored 1700’s farm house in the beautiful little village of Reay. This couples retreat is warm and cosy, with a log burner, king size bed, an open plan living room with farmhouse style kitchen, fully equipped and with all the modern necessities to make you feel at home. A traditional Scottish croft house with sea views which has been lovingly restored to a very high standard with all modern amenities. Located in the most northerly village on mainland UK, with coastline walks and beaches in abundance nearby. A special place to explore or simply relax and unwind. Pentland View Caravans is part of the John O Groats caravan and camping site. Situated in the heart of John O Groats on the North Coast 500 with breathtaking views across the Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands making it a perfect base to explore Caithness and Sutherland. The Swift Burgundy static caravan is 28 ft x 10ft. There is 1 double bed and 4 2 foot 6 inch single beds.
