Welcome to the Trailside Gökotta Forest Cottage: a modern, minimalist and serene nature cabin on the Birkie Trail system. Gökotta means 'to get up early to listen to sounds of birds and the forest'. Located right on Birkie Ridge Trailhead with close access to vast CAMBA trails, this is a nature escape for outdoor enthusiasts who love to bike, ski, hike, and bird watch. Enjoy ski-in ski-out to groomed trails, bike-in bike-out right onto trails, then cozy up by the woodstove or fire-pit at night.

Hidden Bay is aptly named as it is nestled in a water lily-filled bay with a beautiful west-facing island view. It feels private without being completely secluded. The cabin itself is small & manageable and the cathedral ceiling, open floor plan, & numerous windows give it a light, open feel. My family originally stayed at Hidden Bay as renters and we liked it so much we bought it & kept the name! The Flambeau Hideaway, located 20 minutes outside of Mercer, WI, is our 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin that sits on the shores of Lake Bastine, one of the original lake basins located on the west-central portion of Turtle Flambeau Flowage. The Flowage consists of over 14,000 acres &over 90% of the surrounding land is state owned & undeveloped; which gives off that true wilderness feel. So many outdoor activities! That’s the beauty of the Northwoods - snowmobiling, skiing, fishing, hiking LIST GOES ON!

Flaming Torch Lodge

This is a quaint little cabin on the Flambeau River just outside of Ladysmith, WI (flambeau translastes to flaming torch) It is a clean space with rustic charm. It has a fully equipped kitchen, stove and fridge. A gas fireplace is the centerpiece of the living room. Snuggle up on the sofa or recliner, turn on the fireplace, and relax. There is one bedroom with a memory foam mattress. A loft with a sleeper couch. Free amenities, including cleaning. No pets and no smoking at any time please.

The Lily Pad on Muskie Lake in Springstead is in the heart of the Northwoods. Come relax, slow down, and recharge. Muskie Lake is a private lake that is almost 100 acres. In the summer we have kayaks and in the winter we are less than a mile from Trail 8 and 8a. There are 7 restaurants within 13 miles, thousands of acres of water, millions of acres of woodlands, XC trails galore, 10 waterfalls in Iron Co, 7 ski hills within 90 minutes, or curl up in the newly remodeled cabin and unwind.

Canoe Cabin in Mercer

Built in 2022/2023 this cabin is located right on the Manitowish River with 750ft of frontage right off Highway 51 about 3 miles south of Mercer and 7 miles north of Manitowish Waters. The Manitowish River runs into the Bear River which is why the resort is named Twin Rivers Resort. We are located right by the snowmobile, UTV/ATV and hiking/biking trails. You can easily visit small local towns with bars, restaurants and shopping.
