The property was an 18th Century barn which the owners converted to an extremely spacious holiday cottage, with the best of traditional and modern features. It is ideally situated for fell walking, running, mountain biking, stand up paddle boarding and other mountain and lake activities. Situated in the lovely village of Portinscale this warm detached family home provides everything you might want to enjoy a stay in the Lake District. We are situated 5 minutes walk from Derwent Water and the Nicol End Marina for kayaking and water activities. Portinscale has a pub that serves food and a cafe. Our favourite eating places nearby are Swinside Inn and the Ivy Restaurant in Braithwaite. Keswick is a mere 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk for eating out, shopping and outdoor sports.

A small barn conversion in an idyllic setting in the Northern Fells. Your own little cottage. Completely self contained with a kitchen/living area. A small bathroom with bath and hand held power shower and loo. Upstairs two bedrooms. One double & one small twin. And table and chairs to allow for outside dining on the terrace. We are a 15 minute walk into the village or 2 minutes by car. Please note we welcome very well behaved dogs, but strictly not on the furniture or upstairs on the beds.
