The Cairn Hotel offers single, twin, double and family accommodation for tourists and business visitors alike. Our seven rooms, all non-smoking - most of which are en suite - have tea / coffee, television, telephone and free WiFi internet access. Our restaurant offers excellent value for money using seasonal, fresh local produce and our bar is very welcoming, having won the Tripadvisor Certificate of Excellence every year since 2012 and now in the Tripadvisor Hall of Fame.

Twin Room with Breakfast

Our village is at the west end of Loch Tay and there is much to see around here alone, warranting a couple of nights stopover if our guests have the time to explore. Our twin room is located on the first floor up a flight of stairs. It has two standard single beds and a washbasin in the room as well as a hospitality tray with refreshments. A separate bathroom is allocated to this room which is about 3 meters away. A bathrobe is provided as are complementary toiletries.

Loch Ness

Named after the most famous loch in Scotland, the Loch Ness room sleeps 4 people (1 double or twin beds and bunk beds) and offers and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. This room also boasts an outside terrace with amazing views over the Fort Augustus and the River Oich. We are also dog friendly are happy to welcome well behaved pets with responsible owners. We will even provide a bed for the extra family member. (There is an additional charge of £20 per pet).

A 4 star Visit Scotland Victorian villa built in 1885 owned and run by Lawrence & Katrina since 2015. The house sits in attractive gardens on the shore of Loch Linnhe near Ballachulish and Glencoe and surrounded by spectacular mountain and coastal scenery. Full Scottish breakfast is included along with free wifi and parking. All rooms have en-suite showers. Special dietary needs can be catered for with notice. Dalwhinnie Old School Hostel Double

Double room for 2 people. NOT ensuite. Sky TV in room. Located across from the train station and only a few minutes walk from the distillery. Situated in the former village primary school and school house set in an acre of ground. Surrounded by mountains and Loch Ericht only a few minutes walk away. Hot tub in summer house outside, available to use for a small fee during summer months.

Suie Hunting Lodge - Luxury King room with bath

Suie Hunting Lodge is the former shooting lodge of the Suie Estate, built in 1780. We are now a small hotel with a passion for eclectic design and great food. A full Scottish breakfast is included in the rate. This room is a King room with UK king size bed, en-suite luxurious bathroom with walk in shower and vintage style roll top cast iron bath.

Lovely views from the room with River Ness, Cathedral and Castle. The room is carpeted and features double glazing to cut out the noise and cold. It has been refurbished to provide modern, clean & comfortable accommodation. The hostel is centrally heated with individual thermostats to control the heat in the room.

Directly on the NC500 route and consists of 6 individually designed Bothies and Barrels that sleep up to 6 people. The Bothies are located within a private walled garden surrounded by fields and wildlife. The Barrels are a short distance away at an elevated position overlooking the Cromarty Firth.
