Escape to a Sunny Apartment in a Quiet D.C. Suburb

Living Room amenities include a Smart TV and an Amazon Fire TV Stick. Fully equipped kitchen and cooking essentials. Lovely patio with seating area and herb garden. Comfortable bed and quality linens. Keurig coffee maker with coffee and tea provided. You have your own private entrance and patio area on an entire different side of the house so your experience can be as private as you like. The entire apartment which includes: washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen and patio area. Your host will be available for anything you need during your stay. My daughter/co-host, Bernadette, a young D.C. professional, can also answer any questions about the D.C. area, restaurants and other cool places to go. The apartment is in a quiet suburban neighborhood with easy access to the Washington area. It's a short walk to the FDA. Downtown Silver Spring is nearby, with its many restaurants, bars, Fillmore music venue, Ellsworth Dog Park, and a movie theater. The National Archives, University of Maryland College Park and UMUC are just few miles away. A Ride-On bus stop is located on the same block as the apartment. A Metro bus stop is 5 minute walk. Silver Spring Metro Station is about 4 miles away. There are a few parking garages at the Silver Spring Metro Station if you choose to drive there and then hop on the metro. Free parking on weekends and holidays at all Montgomery County Parking garages (some lots and street parking may require payment on Saturday). You could also Uber/Lyft to the metro station or all the way into the city (great option esp if you're splitting fare).

Clean private walkout basement apartment with private bedroom (queen bed); plus folding twin bed for third guest, private full bathroom; kitchenette equipped with a fridge, Keurig coffee maker, cook-top, boiler, microwave, and toaster; spacious living room with fireplace equipped with TV (Netflix) and free WiFi. Dining table with two chairs. Basic kitchen utensils and silverware. Workspace: desk, swivel chair. The entrance path is sloping, may be difficult for guests with mobility challenges.

Suburban Sanctuary

My home is in a quiet, safe, suburban neighborhood, approximately 20 minutes from Washington DC and 15 minutes from downtown Silver Spring. The closest Metro station is an 8 minute drive. It is a large two level ranch style home. Your bedroom and private bathroom will be on the main level where you enter the home. The kitchen, dining and living room reserved for guests is on the lower level which is above ground with a sliding glass door leading to the back patio. Driveway parking is available.

NARA guest house (unofficial) and UMD guest House (unofficial) Ideal for researchers and students to Univ. of Maryland and NARA visitors and D.C. visitors . The guests can use dining room, living room, laundry machine, kitchen, microoven, and own refrigerator. Free-Wifi and parking will be provided. Univ. of Maryland College Park, and Federal Archive Building is 20 minutes walking distance. It is a cozy and comfortable room to stay. Safe neighborhood. One person per room.

Quiet Silver Spring Stay-WFH Ready-Close to Shops

This is a separate basement unit in a townhouse with private entrance. There is a kitchenette and bathroom in the basement. This place is walking distance to grocery stores Giant and Target, shopping center, restaurants and Washington Adventist Hospital great for student and intern that come to Washington Adventist Hospital. There is one assigned parking spot. There will be other guests in the upper two levels of the townhouse but they have not access to the basement.

Independent bedroom in the basement of a single home with its own private entrance and bathroom for 1 (one) person only. Self check-in and check-out. Located in the Aspen Hill neighborhood in Rockville, Maryland. This place is worth trying out, since the location is near DC and Potomac River, and many working places. 2 miles from DC, easily accessible by public transportation. 0.2 mile walk to bus stop to Silver Spring metro, or less than a 2 mile drive to the metro! Quiet and safe neighborhood (use Blair HS as a reference for location). Comfortable, clean, new space- close to all the things the DMV has to offer. Queen bedroom with a workspace & fast Wi-Fi, and living space with giant couch. There is also a gym available.
