Karoo House Collection - 111 Cradock

Our listed heritage cottage makes for a luxurious self-catering Karoo escape and is conveniently situated in the heart of the “horseshoe” area of Graaff-Reinet. It is fully air conditioned for those sweltering Karoo days and features a back patio which is a perfect place for a quiet and cosy barbeque. Although an ideal "lock and go" for a group of 4, if you're needing space for more family and friends, you have the option to book our neighbouring property, 54 Middle Street, which also sleeps 4.

The Owl Nest House - vacation living, farm style.

The Owl Nest sleeps up to 8 guests (6 adults and 2 kids). A 2nd level braai area seats 14 people around a 4m table. The house offers 3 bedrooms and 2 on-suite bathrooms. Note - the bathroom arrangement allow for occupation of not more than 2 couples/families. The well-equipped kitchen comes fitted with a dishwasher & 2x retro fridges. Coffee & tee is provided. Slow burning fireplace, electric blankets, heaters & camping cot. A tranquil setting on the edge of town - a true Karoo farm feeling.

This unique house has recently been renovated and now boasts 3 en suite rooms. With beautiful wooden floors throughout the house it is very cosy. There is air conditioning in every room which is essential in the Graaff-Reinet summer. We also have hot blankets on the beds to make you comfortable during the cold winters. There are re charable lights throughout the house to beat loadshedding blues. We use a self checck in. Bring the whole family to this beautiful home with lots of room for fun!

The Heritage House

A historic house with whitewashed walls and Oregon floors and ceilings. It has three bedrooms, two of them with double beds, both with French doors opening to a private garden. The third is a twin room. The house has a large open-plan kitchen/living room. A stay should include a tour of the stunning art and giant tapestries made by local Bushmen descendants. The three galleries and the studio give visitors a chance to see local artists at work and chat with them about their heritage.

De Kothuize 10 Self-catering Cottage

This, one of the most charming and historically significant of the cottages in Graaff-Reinet’s picturesque Parsonage Street, offers three bedrooms all with double beds, all en-suite – one with a shower, and two with small bath/combined shower arrangements. There is a fully-equipped kitchen, a separate dining room and a sitting room. Externally, there is a paved entertainment facility, with a table and chairs, leading through to a swimming pool in an adjoining separate walled area.

A luxurious and spacious self-catering Karoo townhouse with 2 full en-suite bedrooms, a living room, fully equipped kitchen and dining area (WiFi and Smart TV). An outside area with a patio and braai. Coffee, tea, sugar and rusks will be provided. Located in the ‘horse-shoe’ of the town. Very central and walking distance (2 minutes) to the main restaurants, shops, tourist attractions and Spar. You will have the entire house to yourself. No shared spaces.

Charming cottage in the Middle of Town

A beautiful Karoo cottage with all the comforts you need for an overnight stay. On a quiet cul de sac in the Centre of town. Three Bedrooms (2 with King Size XL Beds), Aircon, two modern bathrooms (one with shower, the other with bath & shower). There is a fully kitted kitchen with Nespresso Machine, a separate living, dining & outside area with a Webber Braai. An outside shower with a view to the stars & Spandaukop gives you the perfect Karoo feeling.

Playwright's House, Nieu-Bethesda

This unpretentious, rustic and secluded Karoo home is where internationally acclaimed playwright and writer Athol Fugard wrote between 1990 and 2017. It's on the peaceful northeastern corner of our quaint village. Crystal-clear Karoo air, intense night skies, crackling winter fires, tranquillity. The cottage draws travellers, explorers, friends & families seeking connection; and it's an inspiring creative space.

Charming Heritage Cottage

This historic townhouse is within easy walking distance of shops and restaurants. The private courtyard is ideal for a braai (barbecue), or a quiet coffee. The house is child-friendly, and pets are welcome too. A gun-safe is provided, ideal for hunters. The stove is gas, so cooking during load-shedding is never a problem! As with many Graaff-Reinet houses, there is ONLY ON-STREET PARKING. There is also no TV.

Wild Olive Cottage

Wild Olive Cottage is in a game conservancy on a working cattle farm 12 km from Graaff Reinet, through the National Park. Recently restored, it's an ideal base for walking, photography, mountain biking etc. Fully self-catering, 1 double bed with en suite bathroom, aircon, fireplace, plunge pool, barbecue facilities.
