The Maine Hideaway - Cutter Room

Located at the tip of the Blue Hill Peninsula, Brooklin, Maine offers a quiet retreat a bit over an hour from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. A one-minute walk from The Maine Hideaway's doorstep brings you into the historic village of Brooklin, Maine and a close walk to Wooden Boat School. Our home was built in 1874, we have multiple guest rooms, all with incredibly comfortable mattresses and modern furnishings. We serve a continental breakfast Tue-Sat and hot breakfast on Sun & Mon.

Guest room in a private home

My home is located in a small town on a dirt road and very private. The rt 1 coast/ocean is about 25 minutes away and offers lighthouses, lobster and Maine hospitality. This guest room has a full size bed that is stacked with pillows and an antique quilt, dresser and closet space. The bathroom boasts of a shower as well as a claw foot bathtub should you wish to lay back and relax. There is a television, and an air conditioner in the warmer months as well as a ceiling fan as an alternative.

The Terrace Apartment

This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. We offers 4 apartments to rent by the night, or week in the summer (Breakfast for additional fee). Long term September-May for the traveling professional (no breakfast). Each unit has 1-2 bedrooms, full kitchen and private bathroom. All situated on the norther head of Messalonskee Lake. Gorgeous sunrise and sunsets from your private balcony. This charming 1850's renovated property you do not want to miss.

Our farm has magnificent views and is walking distance to Savade Pond. We are twelve minutes from Augusta and forty minutes from the coastal cities of Camden, Rockland and Belfast. You’ll love our Bed and Breakfast because of the turn of the century ambiance. Our large room with full dining area is perfect for travelers of any type. In room, (granola, yogurt, juice, coffee and milk) self-serve breakfast for two is included per day. Room is on the second floor up one flight of steps.

North Haven Suite in the Oakland House Inn

Our innkeeping-family has been welcoming guests to the the Blue Hill Peninsula of Maine since July 4, 1889. We are perfectly situated directly on the saltwater of the Reach and the freshwater of Walker Pond. The Oakland House has two private ocean beaches. In the distance, you can see the Pumpkin Island Lighthouse and even the Camden Hills! Our guests also have access to the Blue Dot and Yellow Dot trails that lead up to a phenomenal view of the waterfront from Lookout Rock.

Rustic Cabin on Maine Farm

We look forward to welcoming you to our beautiful farm. The cabin has a great connection to nature. It is a quiet, cozy and romantic place. The cabin has a queen bed in the downstairs bedroom and a double bed in the loft. The couch also folds-out to double bed in the sitting room. When reserving the cabin, please register all people over 2 years old. The cabin does not have any heat, but we provide loads of comfy blankets and warm tea to make sure you are comfortable.

Belgrade Lakes/Wings Hill Lakeview Suite/Apartment

Wings Hill is a charming country home offering 4 rental suites set between Great Pond and Long Pond in the Village of Belgrade Lakes, just across the road from Day's Store. A short drive to Augusta, Waterville and within walking distance to the Golf Course and all that the Lakeside Village has to offer. A short drive to many hiking areas or just relax in the Great Room or on the grounds. Walk across the street to fish or enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

Cottage Apartment: Victorian By Sea (2pr.bath)

Enjoy a tranquil getaway in this peaceful coastal apartment with private entrance. The updated apartment is attached to a historical (1881) inn. The property offers access to lush gardens surrounded by forest as well a short footpath to the top of the rocky shore. Enjoy your own private porch or gaze out to the ocean views from a shared veranda. A gourmet breakfast with organic/seasonal/local ingredients is available for an additional fee.

The Creekside Crib

Charming 2 bedroom/1 bath on entire second floor of our home with your own private access. Your space is completely separated from our living quarters. No shared rooms or spaces inside the home in your area. Home style continental breakfast items provided in your room. Enjoy access to hiking trails from your front door. The Crib is 30 minutes drive from Bangor Airport and about a 45 minute drive to Acadia National Park.
