Located next to the owners’ home, but still maintaining solitude and privacy, the cottage is surrounded by open fields and is a haven for wildlife.

La'al Yam is a delightful cosy cottage with wonderful views and full of charm. It is surrounded by gardens and wildlife. It is the East wing of Hylands, decorated in sympathy with Arts and Crafts principles. A place for rest and relaxation, where you can completely unwind. Quality finishes and materials throughout, using local suppliers and crafts people. La'al Yam is 12 minutes walk from Kendal's many independent shops and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to our local pub the Rifleman's Arms

We are dog friendly. Our 250 year old cottage features modern rustic decor, u/f heating, log burner, super-fast internet, Smart TV, Sonos sound system and a complimentary podPoint 7kw EV charger. There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.

We offer guests a contact free stay in our detached studio suite in the Lake District.To refresh the studio and to complete intensive cleaning we block off a day either side of every booking. The studio has a king-sized bed, dining table & chairs, a very comfortable sofa, TV, lobby, wet room, small kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, tableware, cutlery. Patio doors open on to a private sun terrace overlooking the garden and surrounding fields. Parking next to the studio.
