The Westmoreland Lighthouse - Private studio in SE

We've dubbed this stunning, newly constructed detached studio the "Lighthouse" because of the way natural light pours through the 550-square-foot studio's many windows and dances off its walls and vaulted ceilings. An open loft offers soothing views. We are tucked into the Westmoreland neighborhood's quiet residential area, but are only a five minute walk from more than 20 restaurants and entertainment features. Westmoreland Park, Reed College and downtown Portland are just minutes away by car.

We chose to share our guest house primarily because the idea of sharing our stunning view appeals to us very much. We are so fortunate to have a view so special that we wanted to build a guest house for our friends and you! We designed our 600 square foot modern guest house with the intent of creating a very private honeymoon suite. The southern exposure beach is ideal for strolling, beach combing, and relaxing. The beach has a picnic area, fire pit, propane bbq, hammocks, and lounge chairs awaits you for outdoor r & r. Trails through the forest for hiking nearby. Mountain bike trails at Dockton Pk..Your pet is welcome, leashed, with an additional pet fee.

The guesthouse is a private oasis in the city. It's surrounded by fruit trees and tall Chinese Mountain bamboo. It's a quick walk to Woodlawn Park, great coffee, a bakery, pizza, whiskey bar, a brewery, seasonal farmers market, and minutes from Alberta Arts District. The airy, open floor plan is filled with natural light, mixed textiles and warm woods. A cedar-surround outdoor shower and private 5x7 Finnish sauna lend to the spa-like setting. Guests say it’s hard to leave!

A bolthole created from passion by Kaemingk Collection, The Green Door PDX was designed to provide a unique respite from the energy of Portland while being conveniently located only minutes from downtown and popular shopping/eating districts. We have taken queues from Europe and built a traditional field cottage tucked into the landscape at the front of the property and surrounded it with mature greenery for an inviting welcome and ultimate privacy for our guests.

300 feet above the ocean on sacred Neahkahnie Mountain, 30 feet above the ground. Built by hand with love in 1985. Look out thru giant Sitka spruce and Douglas fir, south & west to the ocean. Look up from the sleeping loft through a huge skylight to the night stars and moon. Leave urban culture behind. Retreat into a world where the rest of nature speaks loudly. The Kenilworth Guest House
