The Parent Pad - an Interlude for UD Parents

Whether you’re traveling for a campus visit or returning for Parents weekend, or just passing through I provide a convenient, comfortable resting place between events. Perfect for Grandparents coming in for a graduation, or parents supporting their student during finals week. The Parent Pad is a perfect distance from the raucous of the college life, yet close enough for convenience to UD Stadium and sports complex. A safe place for students during holidays when Dorm cleaning occurs, too.

1 Room apartment w/private bath, kitchenette, and deck. Attached to main house with shared parking and a walkway to private entry. Also on-property trails through the woods and a rustic cabin at the creek for a relaxing nature experience. On the way to the cabin, enjoy watching the horses & goats. WiFi service available but it is not broadband. No cable. Cell service can be limited at times. Linens/towels included. Kitchenette includes microwave, minifridge & Keurig coffee machine

Enjoy this comfortable, relaxing guest suite with a kitchenette in a desirable and quiet neighborhood in Newark. Close to Downtown and Main St, this is a great base to explore the area and the University. We are less than 3 miles from the University and Main Street. The suite is tastefully furnished in a neighborhood with mature trees. It is totally private, with a separate entrance and a keypad for self check in. Parking is available in the driveway. Truly a serene getaway!

Unplugged retreat. Great for birders, piano players, gardening fans, antiquers. Twenty minutes from historic Havre de Grace. Nearby gardens include: Longwood Gardens; Chanticleer Garden; Winterthur Museum, Garden, and Library; and LaDew Topiary Gardens. Small kitchen with microwave, sink, fridge, and coffee maker. Private entrance. Smoke detectors, hair dryer. No WiFi. No stove.
