Koupelna a záchod jsou přístupné z obou místností zvlášť přes chodbu v nevytápěné části domu. Před domem je možnost parkování a posezení pod altánkem s grilem a výhledem na Černý Důl. Nad domem je louka a les se stezkou na Černou horu. Sjezdovky jsou vzdálené 5min. pěšky. Letní koupání je možné v potoce a 5km vzdáleném kempu s koupalištěm.

V místě se nachází obchod s potravinami, restaurace, půjčovny kol a lyží, zastávka hromadné dopravy a ski busů do Janských Lázní a Pece pod Sněžkou. Před domem je vyhrazené parkoviště pro dvě vozidla hostů.
