The Doe Branch Cabin - Modern Mountain Retreat

Sense of Place. That is the inspiration here, at least in part. The cabin is situated on 12 private acres in a remote corner of Madison County, surrounded by national forest, streams, and clear mountain air. The property has a history of artist residents, and we encourage creatives of all types to come seek the inspiration found by those that came before. The town of Marshall, an artistic enclave, is 25-30 minutes away, and downtown Asheville is a 45-50 minute drive. Hiking and rafting nearby.

The Water Wheel is our place to unplug and detox from the hustle and bustle of life. When we are not here enjoying this space we want to share it with you. Imagine yourself lounging by our fire pit with a local brew or taking in the mountain views from the hot tub then creating an amazing meal. Detox in our cedar sauna after a long hike. Or if you are exploring the area then it is the perfect home base for adventures in the mountains or to Asheville for breweries, dining or shopping.

Hike the AT, visit the Bald for a picnic and unbeatable views, and make yourselves comfortable in this lovely little pond-side hideaway. This 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin is a modern take on the theme with neat and tidy interior, modern decor, and a large back deck. Very Private and quiet location meant for R&R not parties. 16 acres of wooded forest make the rest of the property. Add in the FirePit and Milky Way and you have a great stay just waiting for you.
