Heronsway is 20 minutes from Burlington and 75 minutes from downtown Montreal. The Islands have 3 five star restaurants, and numerous casual eating spots. The primary entertainment on the Islands is boating, sightseeing, biking, hiking, beaches and antiquing. While not ideal for swimming, due to invasive grasses, enjoy quiet time relaxing on lawn swings, on your private balcony, or in the screened gazebo. There are kayaks available. A dock is available for use. In the winter skate or ice fish.

Purple Door Suite provides a newly renovated bedroom, private bathroom, private living room and your own entrance to the house, with the rest of the second story shared with your hosts. Lovingly renovated, this two-story brick house (circa 1848) is located in Old North End of downtown Burlington. It is one of the oldest in the area and has enormous charm and character. We are midway between Burlington and Middlebury, which offer many attractions of their own such as music and cultural events, shopping, and great restaurants. Your host is on site to be sure you are comfortable with amenities including a memory foam bed and fresh ground coffee.

The Yellow Farmhouse B&B ~ The Winter En suite

About our lovely bed & breakfast The house was built in the late 1800s by one of the early Vermont families that originally settled the area during the 1700s. At its height, the family farm spanned nearly 400 acres with the farmhouse as its centerpiece. Over the years that followed, the farmhouse came to know a number of owners until we finally purchased the home in 2010 and have been lovingly restoring the home and its grounds ever since.

Middlebury and Burlington are about 30 minutes away and downhill skiing is 60 min. The world class Shelburne Folk Museum is just 20 min. to our north. We are located in the heart of the Champlain Valley with Lake Champlain beaches just a few miles to our west. A 30 min. ferry ride takes you across our stunning lake to quaint villages on the shore of New York with the Adirondack mountains just a few miles further west.
