You will be within walking distance to historic Elkader, and a half hour drive away from the Mississippi River, Effigy Mounds, Pikes Peak and so much more! After a fun day in The Driftless Area, come relax and unwind in Prairie du Chien. Beautifully decorated 2 bedroom home with a spacious kitchen, large island, dishwasher, washer/dryer & 5' walk in shower. We supply all cooking/baking items/utensils. High-speed internet with smart TVs in both bedrooms and living room. Outdoor pool (seasonal), hot tub and massage chair. We love dogs too, so we provide a dog run (there is a pet fee). For our fishermen- there is off street parking for your boats.

Ideal for couples, families, fishermen, and hikers, it's a year-round retreat—whether you're enjoying the river in summer, taking in the fall colors, or hitting the trails for snowmobiling or ice fishing in winter. Close to Prairie du Chien, Pikes Peak State Park, Effigy Mounds, and just a 20-minute drive to Yellow River Forest.

Cheerful 1-bedroom cabin

Take it easy, relax and enjoy all that this beautiful area has to offer. Great bird and nature watching opportunities from our cabin and the decks! Our cabin has been newly renovated and is the perfect spot to explore the area. It is best suited for 1 or 2 people - 4 guests maximum (2 adults and 2 children, or 4 adults). The bedroom has 1 queen bed and 1 bunk bed in the same room with a full on the bottom and a twin on top. A queen sofa sleeper is located in the living room.

Welcome to Becwar House, a completely renovated and improved home that was built in 1905 and owned by our family since 1951. After purchasing the property from my family in July, 2020, I spent a full year renovating every room, bringing a refreshed look while maintaining the comfortable feel and character of an older family home.
