A cosy cottage on a small working family farm near the Essex/Suffolk border. Within walking distance of the beautiful village of Castle Hedingham. It is the perfect base for exploring the countryside, enjoying the wildlife, visiting the local venues or the historic villages of Finchingfield, Thaxted, Lavenham and Long Melford, which are all within a 30-minute drive. Alternatively, there is boating on the nearby river Stour, or just enjoying a drink at one of the country pubs along its route.

The Old Dairy

The Old Dairy Wakes Colne is a single story newly renovated barn situated on a rural working farm within the Essex countryside. Offering unspoilt views and an enclosed garden it is the perfect place to enjoy the peaceful environment within this wifi free accommodation. Yet just over a mile away is the village of Chappel which offers a recently renovated pub, convenience store, post office , Millennium Green and a children’s play area. The Dell - Country Holiday Let

The Dell sleeps up four guests and is located in the small village of White Colne, only 15 minutes away from the oldest recorded town in the UK, Colchester. On the Essex-Suffolk border you have a great base to explore East Anglia’s towns and attractions. This is a private annex building set in the grounds of our family home. It is walking distance from the village of Bures with its two pubs, shop and café. Guests will have exclusive use of the walled rose garden.

Relax in our wonderful cottage and enjoy a glass in the garden that has been designed and created by Harry and David Rich (known as The Rich Brothers from Garden Rescue on the BBC). The cottage has parking for two cars and is located in the centre of Bures Village, a short stroll away from the train station, two public houses, local shop, church and park. Not far away you will find the famous Bures Dragon and Chapel of Stephen.
