Lodge on the Lake is a luxurious property located in a very special position right on Lake Windermere within the Lake District National Park. Stay at the Lake View Lodge and wake up to fantastic views of Lake Windermere and its mountain backdrop every morning. The Lake View Lodge is a self-contained, wooden lodge with access to three acres of grounds and wild meadows attracting a wonderful array of wildlife including owls, red kites, deer, foxes and woodpeckers. Please note the location is REMOTE, no shops are near (25 min drive to Co-op in Hawkshead), but there is a pub 5 min drive away in Satterthwaite. You are not far from Grizedale Centre, Coniston or Windermere.

It is in a rural setting about 4 miles outside the market town of Cockermouth but is actually located in the Lake District National Park with stunning views over the fells, Binsey, Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and Keswick. The lodge has been designed to make the most of those idyllic views and is a retreat for anyone wanting to relax, unwind and enjoy our “world Heritage” status.
