Bookeen Hall is a 200 year old restored church about 20 mins from Galway City and within easy reach of the Cliffs of Moher, The Burren and Connemara. We are a short drive from Lignum (restaurant). We offer a private room (with 1 king size bed and 1 single bed) with a private bathroom. For larger groups there is a second room (with 1 king size bed), so we can accommodate up to 5. The nearest train station is 8 miles away in Athenry. We live here with our dogs and look forward to meeting you!

Situated in the heart of the Burren which is a karst landscape with cliffs, caves, archaeological sites and vast array of flowers and plants. Close proximity to the Michael Cusack Centre, Burren Perfumery, Poulnabrone Dolmen , Caherconnell and Cahercommaun Forts. Some of the most beautiful walks begin in Carron which are mapped out to hike on your own. My home is next to the Cusack Way walk. Doonbeg village is only 2km away where you can enjoy local cuisine at the village’s two award winning restaurants. It is a large, bright room with an en-suite. We offer a light self service breakfast including cereals, yoghurts and fruit as well as a variety of teas and coffee. Mini fridge also provided.

We are the ideal base for exploring the Burren, Aillwee caves, Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty castle & Folk park just to name a few.
