Forge Cottage

We have recently updated this cottage ---- with a new kitchen with a proper hob and oven, and also replaced all the windows and even the front door ! The Forge cottage is set on our working sheep farm, on the Durham Northumberland border. Ideal for couples, or people traveling on their own, the cottage is a great location for local attractions such as Beamish Museum, Durham, Newcastle, Kilhope lead mining museum etc., but it's also great for those looking for peace and quiet and country walks !!

Our beautiful shepherd's hut sits in four acres of secluded woodland in rural Hexhamshire. Enjoy the peaceful solitude, with glimpsed views through the mature oaks onto the North Pennines. Surrounded by miles of footpaths, bridleways and moorland, there are walking, cycling and riding options in every direction. Nearby rural pubs offer delicious local ales and fantastic food; or try some home raised, rare breed pork over the firepit grill, then a drink on the raised deck in the evening sun.

Relax in this spacious secluded three bedroom cottage set in mature gardens & trees. Comfortably accommodating up to 6 family and friends. Just a 20 minute walk or 2 minute drive into Hexham (twice voted Happiest Town in the UK) With its many fantastic pubs & restaurants. You are only a short drive from Hadrian's Wall, Vindolanda, Housesteads and Sycamore Gap. After a day exploring the local area, wind down and relax in the extra large hot tub or warm your toes in front of the cozy log burner.

Guests will enjoy a cozy warm home with newly fitted kitchen/diner/lounge, new furniture & a new bathroom suite. The home is fully private with its own entrance and is annexed off a country home. Enjoy wonderful walks along Hadrian’s Wall and the River Tyne and enjoy the superb pubs and restaurants of the Tyne Valley.

Situated in a secluded location, within easy level walking distance of Hexham market town centre, School Cottage is a unique building; a great base from which to explore all that Northumberland has to offer. The cottage has two ensuite bedrooms and sleeps 4 people. It has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. The lounge has an electric wood burning effect stove with satellite TV. Off street parking for two cars is included along with a private south facing courtyard.

Traditional stone building, fully renovated in 2018, offering light, airy, well-insulated accomodation with central heating and traditional woodstove. Situated in a tiny hamlet surrounded by open countryside, 5 miles south of the market town of Hexham. Ideal for walkers or those seeking peace and quiet, yet within a short drive of local shops and restaurants. Breakfast ingredients for first morning included.

Chollerton House is located in the hamlet of Chollerton and is set in its own grounds overlooking the river North Tyne which is just a hundred yards away across our own paddock. The flat is located on the first floor, affording lovely views on all sides, and has its own seperate access, assuring complete privacy. Chollerton lies only one mile north of the World Heritage site of Hadrian's Wall and the flat provides a charming and secluded base from which to explore beautiful Northumberland.
