A short walk to the historic village with 3 Harry Clarke windows in the church above the Castle & Castletownshend harbour. Drombeg, Lough Hind , Baltimore are a short drive away or simply enjoy the beautiful peace &quiet, water sports & walks

This snug, grass-roofed eco-cabin offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy a warm Irish welcome, mountain walks on the Beara Way or snorkelling through nearby reefs. Sample local cheeses, lamb, fish and seafood or stoke up the wood-burning stove, have a glass of wine and and savour the peace and tranquillity! Word of warning: we are VERY remote, (1km off the road down a rough track). With almost no public transport, own transport (eg car) is highly recommended - see Getting Around!

Within a 1–10 minute walk, you can explore the Cliff Walk, the blackbird, Salty dog, Seachurch and Bayview. Drive 5-10 minutes to Ballymaloe house or Cookery School.

This property is within a few minutes walking distance to the renowned beeches of long strand, and a short cliff walk over to the majestic warren strand. It is part of the "Wild Atlantic Way" and shares an abundance of scenic drives with plenty of tourist attractions and activities, catering for all ages.

This newly renovated 150 year old building has a comprehensive modern kitchen and dining area, while maintaining a country cottage atmosphere. Situated on a small farm, it offers seclusion while only being a few minutes drive from many local attractions.

Free street parking. Please note: due to the elevation there is a steep walk up the lane and a further 33 steps. Not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. Beautifully converted using natural building materials, the space is light, peaceful and open, heated with a cosy wood burner. The interior is handmade, restored or salvaged by us. We provide sourdough, homemade jam, a homemade tipple & a few staples on arrival. A rural retreat right in the heart of vibrant West Cork.

We are situated on the Beara Peninsula, just up the road from Helen's Bar in Kilmackilogue. Our Shepherds Hut called The Bothy, overlooks the sea, and is three minutes walk to the beach. Enjoy nature at its best with views of Kenmare Bay and its surrounding mountains. It is a hikers paradise, lying just off 'The Beara Way' . Cyclists will also be in their element with The Healy Pass a few kilometres away. Kenmare is half an hour away with wonderful shops and restaurants.
