Historic log cabin circa 1840 moved to property June 2020. Take a step back in time with furniture and decor to match the cabin’s time period. Located between two houses in newly formed Ste. Genevieve National Historical Park. It is a 10 minute walk to the main part of downtown and other historic tour sites. Adjoins Early American gift shop called Sassafras Creek Originals which is housed in the circa 1850 Brooks house. Close to wineries, biking and hiking.

Animal lovers get away. We are a 50 animal farm that offers you a unique petting zoo experience in the country. Enjoy the beautiful sunsets from the big country back porch, cook dinner or watch a movie in the old silo, enjoy a lantern lite bon fire from the rustic cabin, play the slots or enjoy your favorite drink at our rustic barn bar. Thank you for checking out The Walnut House. It’s a roomy and comfortable 2 bed 1 bath house in the middle of town. Within walking distance are several restaurants, many local shops, two grocery stores - one with a great deli! The city park has a walking trail, shady picnic areas, a public pool, and tennis and paddleball courts will be completed soon. Come settle in and enjoy a quiet safe small town get-away!
