Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. We invite you to come...... and experience country life.

The District 5 Schoolhouse was historically built "with not a single nail in the structure" in the 1800's. It still stands as a symbol of dedication to craftsmanship and community. Lovingly restored, preserving as much of the original soul as possible, it promises to be a luxury stay in understated sophistication with 100% linen sheets, beautiful kitchen/dining, lovely private outdoor space, tranquil idyllic work/recharge areas, and enough space to make your own history. Fogarty’s Flying Diamond Ranch

A unique and beautiful, newly added bunkhouse on the upper level of a barn on a working cattle ranch! Completely private and peaceful, you'll hear birds chirping and tractors running. Overlook and explore 152 acres of trails, horses, cattle and much more. Guests are encouraged to experience a tour of the ranch with Rancher Tom free of charge! 10 minutes from Silver Beach/Downtown St. Joseph and Hagar Beach, both on the gorgeous Lake Michigan. Welcome to Sand Castles Cottages, Cottage 1. (See all nine at www.airbnb.com/p/scc) We are 1 MILE to two public beaches and are located between St. Joseph & South Haven, MI. Our property is unique in that we have 9 vacation rental cottages on one acre. These little cottages were built between the 1930s-50s and is one of the last properties of this type along Lake Michigan in this area. We have tried to keep the old charm while adding modern amenities.
