Naming this property was not easy, not only is this a Sanctuary for relaxation and rejuvenation, guests can also enjoy the popular site seeing and abundant wildlife native to our beautiful Black Hills. Whether winter or summer, there are activates nearby - fishing, hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating. The large yard is host to deer and turkey, an ideal gathering spot for celebration, fun and games.

The Notch Cabin is part of Hinterwood Inn & Cabins, situated 60 ft. from National Forest. Enjoy hiking and wildlife sightings from your front door! The cabin has 2 bedrooms, each with a queen bed, a queen murphy bed in the living room, a bathroom with a shower (no tub), and an apartment size kitchen w/ essentials. Custom built by the owners, enjoy the beautiful wooden accent wall, pine slab table, and vaulted ceilings. Includes a private deck with a gas grill, private fire pit area, and more!

Named after a local gemstone, The Jasper House is a stylish, centrally-located 1940s bungalow that was newly remodeled in 2022. New modern home 3 miles to Sylvan Lake and near the border of Custer State park. This is the closest home to Sylvan Lake for rent and the only home of this style available for rent. The home is backed by forest service and has no gravel roads to navigate. The home sits right off Sylvan Lake road and has a large 2 car garage ( more like 3 car) and is included with the use of the home ( there is some storage items in the garage). Across the street is a Buffalo and Long Horn cattle ranch.
