The Hidden Haven at Derry Duff: A Romantic Retreat

Escape to The Hidden Haven at Derry Duff; a unique, stylish, luxury farm-stay lodge, in a secluded corner of our organic West Cork hill farm, just 20 minutes from Bantry and Glengarriff. We designed this boutique, eco retreat to welcome guests to enjoy panoramic mountain views, the wild landscape, a lakeside hot tub, peace, calm and our organic produce. The Hidden Haven offers a romantic farm-stay experience with the space to reconnect, unwind, and rest surrounded by the quiet rhythm of nature.

Magical Views - House in dreamlike location

Das Haus liegt hoch am Berg – alleine. Bei klarer Sicht haben Sie einen atemberaubenden Ausblick. Sie erleben friedliche Stille. Es kann aber ebenso passieren, dass Haus und Umgebung vom Nebel verschluckt werden, dass der Wind ums Haus heult und der Regen gegen die Fenster peitscht!!! Immer bietet sich Ihnen ein faszinierendes Naturschauspiel im Zusammenwirken von Meer und Wolken und den Elementen und in klaren Nächten ein von funkelnden Sternen übersäter Himmel - und noch echte Dunkelheit!

The Old Church Hall, Ballydehob.

A 200-year-old church hall, transformed into a uniquely spacious & stylish townhouse, accommodating 4 guests in comfort. Terracotta flooring throughout with underfloor heating and a solid-fuel stove. The open-plan layout consists of a fully equipped kitchen and a double-height living/dining area. The bedroom has a King-size bed (200cmx150cm) and en-suite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom is a spacious mezzanine with two single beds. This mezzanine overlooks the open-plan living room.

Quirky cottage with sea views

This is a quirky, charming Irish cottage near Goleen in the heart of West Cork. Close to magnificent beaches, restaurants, west cork trails, Mizen head, water sports and many other activities. With the most beautiful vistas and the village of Goleen within a couple of minutes drive. The cottage is situated on private grounds near my house where i grow vegetables and keep chickens. This property would be suitable for a couple, family with kids that can sleep on a loft or a writers retreat.

Wind In The Willows

Take it easy at this unique, tranquil and totally private getaway. Set on 17 acres of rural unspoilt wilderness. The property has a private lake, stunning views undestrubed by modern life and urban lighting. Ballyrisode beach is a 5 minutes drive away along with numberous walking trials in the area one of which is located at the foot of the property. Schull, a lively little fishing village with shops, restuarants and pubs, is only a 5 minute drive away. This unique and tranquil getaway.

Katie’s Fastnet Cabin

Katie’s Fastnet Cabin The stunning seascape changes every day in front of the nautical themed Fastnet Cabin. Relax and enjoy the ebb and flow of the tide overlooking Croagh Bay located just inside the iconic Fastnet Lighthouse. Situated a 10 minute (10km) drive from Schull the location is ideal to immerse yourself in all the sea and the Wild Atlantic Way has to offer (swimming, kayaking, fishing, sailing) and enjoy the West Cork walking trails, including Barleycove Beach and Mizen Head.

The Boathouse - Seclusion by the sea

A perfect base to explore West Cork Surrounded by wild coast, ancient land and protected wetlands. Wild swim at the beautiful beach only a 150m from your doorstep. Beautifully converted using natural building materials, the space is light, peaceful and open, heated with a cosy wood burner. The interior is handmade, restored or salvaged by us. We provide sourdough, homemade jam, a homemade tipple & a few staples on arrival. A rural retreat right in the heart of vibrant West Cork.

The Boatmakers Cabin

Delightful cosy cabin set at the base of Pine trees in the rear garden of our bed and breakfast property. 4 mins drive (15 mins walk) from Dzorgen Beara Buddhist and Meditation Centre and a 5 minute walk / clamber to the cliffs. Castletownbere Fishing town with pubs and restaurants is 8 mins drive one way and Allihies village with beach and pub grub 14 mins the other way. Fantastic area for walking and cycling. The cabin is self catering and a selection of evening meals are available.

The Turf Cottage

Traditional meets modern in this fully renovated Farm Cottage set on a working smallholding. A spacious loft bedroom with a cosy reading nook overlooks fields and animals, while dramatic mountain and valley views fill the windows with light. Built with locally sourced timber and stone, and finished with custom cabinetry and artisan furnishings, it’s a one-of-a-kind retreat—perfect after hiking, cycling, farm life, meditation, or nights of lively trad music.

The Fastnet Cottage

High on the hills between Goleen and Crookhaven you will find The Fastnet Cottage. The Fastnet Cottage has a loft bedroom and small living area that is part of a small enclave of houses, all owned by the same family. The Fastnet Cottage and Knockagullane, along with a double bedroom located above the boathouse, are available to rent separately or in any combination. The family’s main house is not rented out.

Harbour Lights

If you love the ocean, you will love this place. It is an ocean front property directly on the sea, looking at the Bere Island Lighthouse, very quite and private within walking distance to Castletownbere. It has a private automatic gate and the property has a slipway to the sea. Beautiful area to go canoeing. Seals can be seen from time to time. You can watch the Castletownbere fishing boat going out to sea.

John Jay`s cottage Wild Atlantic Way

Das Haus ist ein renoviertes und ausgebautes ehemaliges farmhouse. Es eignet sich für Natur-Liebhaber, Ruhe und Entspannung und hat einen wunderschönen Meerblick Es kann 1 Hund mitgebracht werden ( Schafe!!) Das Wasser kommt vom hauseigenen Brunnen und wird labormäßig getestet auf die Qualität. Das Haus ist nicht geeignet für Kinder unter 6 Jahren.
