Escape the city in this unique underground stay. Located just outside the city and a quick drive to Mt. Hood. You are sure to leave relaxed and recharged after being surrounded by nature. Soak in your own private hot tub overlooking a forested ravine. The underground space is climate controlled equipped with AC/heat. Connect with nature while you enjoy the massive covered patio with a bbq and games. Ask the owners to hangout with the friendliest Pygmy goats and take photos to cherish the memory.

The Story House

Between the lights of Portland and the slopes of Mt. Hood stands a whimsical woods of giant firs, feathery cedars and old mossy maples. Midst a maze of paths and ferns is a cozy cabin full of delightful art. Browse the uncommon birdhouses and their stories. Just steps outside the French doors is a lighted path to the bathhouse (the only bathroom) with toilet, shower, clawfoot tub and washer/dryer. Walk the paths, soak in the hot tub and end your day in the peace and quiet of a private cabin.

Charming one bedroom apartment in the forest.

This unique apartment above a garage/shop , detached from the main house. Tucked away into a urban forest. I call it Our Robin's Nest because you look out on to branches of large fir trees. It is very private , yet Starbucks is right next door. Private entry and off street parking. This space has everything you need full kitchen, washer&dryer, queen size bed and fold out couch , plus a Play and Pack for the Littles. Walkable neighborhood , parks market and restaurants within walking distance.

Our large (1,500sq ft) space (private access), has a bedroom, bathroom, living room w/ a fireplace, hot tub, full gym as well as a kitchenette w/ full sized fridge, keurig, microwave, air fryer, toaster oven, single burner, and laundry facility. Smart tvs, hammocks and a rooftop firepit are in the outdoor entertainment area. LGBT & BIPOC friendly. Gym, hot tub and laundry are shared with owners but guests have priority access. Close to Mt Hood Wilderness (45mins) & Downtown Portland (15mins).

Welcome to our Clackamas Riverfront Guest House—a peaceful riverside retreat blending rustic charm and modern comfort. Bedrooms include white noise machines and earplugs to help with normal traffic during commute hours on our scenic road. Our Private Suite is located in an idyllic setting central to all the activities, great food and nature that the greater Portland area is known for, but without the "junk" that comes with being in the city. Short drives to Portland, Mt Hood hiking and skiing, the Columbia River, Multnomah Falls and great entertainment at McMenamin's "Edgefield (15 Min)" and "Grand Lodge" (35 min.). Infants 0-2 welcome.

Enjoy our beautiful cozy cabin that is heated exclusively by a wood stove, on the edge of a magical old growth cedar forest on our 11 acre farm and vineyard. Relax on the deck built into the trees, and sleep peacefully in the loft bed, as you soak in the nature around you. The cute out house is just down the path and the cedar hot tub/ outdoor shower is next to the garden.
