Hideaway Log Cabin

Unique place has a style all its own. It is private, one year old now and hand worked by owner. NO PETS. Small 350+ sq feet. Open floorplan, no separate bedroom. Large front porch with wooden rockers. Kitchen is very small, with most everything except for oven. Has two small ponds with fish in them loaner poles and tackle in closet no license required. It's in the woods there is wildlife, stream and old growth trees to view. Park style charcoal grill in the yard. Hammock, picnic area at ponds.

Constructed from two old tobacco barns (with fireplace), this property provides a unique experience-connecting the past & present. The cabin is surrounded by nature’s beauty and Big Reed Island river flows only feet from the front porch. Set on 32 acres, the cabin has a large porch with rocking chairs perfect to enjoy views of the river & mountains. New addition includes an outdoor shower! Please expect no internet, a TV for DVD/CDs only and limited cell reception. Truly unplug & relax.

⭐️PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING!⭐️ Take a break, where nature & peace surrounds you. Build a fire, watch the wildlife, walk to the creek, or relax! Limited power provided by solar. There is heat in the cabin! Outdoor shower has been winterized(not available until April 15th, Outhouse bathroom, charcoal grill, & bistro table that provides a wonderful place to unwind! No running water inside, 5gallon jug provided. (No AC/full power without generator. Bring your own or rent one for a small fee)

The Rock Retreat

This beautiful log cabin, previously known as Indian Creek Cabin, has been an important part of the Hanging Rock Community for many years. It began as the Hanging Rock Outdoor Center. The property is adjacent to the Indian Creek Trail area. It is within a few miles of the Lower Cascade Falls, Dan River, Moore's Spring bike trails, and of course, Hanging Rock State Park. Adventure awaits with ziplining, kayaking, canoeing, and river tubing excursions within minutes of the front door.
