Deep Creek Retreat

Experience the joy of staying in an off grid solar powered house. This modern light filled 2 bedroom house with open plan living area offers spectacular ever changing views down the valley and across the sea to Kangaroo Island. The house stands alone on 2.5 acres. Secluded and private country property with 'walled' secret garden, native and exotic trees. Generous living area with polished wooden floors throughout, a cook's kitchen and floor to ceiling glass doors. The main bedroom opens onto the deck and the garden beyond or the stars above. Enjoy the hot water outdoor shower under the sun or stars. (yes, we do also have an indoor shower) Watch the wildlife - native birds, kangaroos and the occasional echidna through the floor to ceiling picture window. There is also a resident family of hares. Telstra & Optus get good reception but may depend on your phone's antenna quality. 90 mins south of Adelaide GPO 5 mins to Deep Creek Conservation Park + 10 mins 4WD drive to Blowhole Beach Experience the scenic walk (or the 4wd drive) to the surf and popular fishing spot at Blowhole Beach. 10 mins from Cape Jervis and Sealink ferry to Kangaroo Island. A short 10min drive to Morgans Beach at Cape Jervis, Second Valley and Rapid Bay beaches. Discover the varied walks within Deep Creek Conservation Park with its stunning coastal scenery, or explore beyond to Tunkalilla, Waitpinga or Parsons Beaches along Range Rd to Victor Harbor (45min). Visit the beautiful Raywood Nursery growing and selling exotic and native plants 5mins away on Tappanappa Rd, with a 1000yr old Grass tree in the carpark growing near the carpark. Closed Tuesday & Wednesdays. We have a dam on the property, which may or may not have water, so parents with young children will need to supervise them at all times.

Tangerine Dream -70's beach shack & nature retreat

A lovingly restored 1970s beach shack perched on the edge of Deep Creek National Park. Designed to immerse you in its spectacular natural surroundings, Tangerine Dream invites you to slow down and unwind. Sway in the hammock beneath the trees, cook over coals by the fire pit, sink into French linen sheets, or soak under a sky full of stars. Adventure and relaxation await in equal measure—but once you've settled in, you may never want to wake from your own Tangerine Dream.

Duckcottage: quaint stone cottage

Duckcottage is a five room stone settlers cottage built in 1853 on five acres of bushland at Second Valley. The property is now a refuge for wildlife so it is NOT suitable for dogs or cats. We call it 'duck' cottage because of the height of the doorways. It has been lovingly restored, and the habitat for birds and native animals has been established through revegetation. The property is secluded (there are no neighbours in sight) but it is a short drive to the beach.

Nowhere Else Cottage with spa room

Nowhere Else is a well established luxury self-contained cottage with its own 2 person spa. The cottage started life as a dairy in the early 1900s until the 1980s when it was abandoned. In the late 80s it was transformed into this beautiful cottage you see today. Indulge yourself in the private indoor spa, overlooking the hills, or just take in the countryside from the cottage verandah and say hi to the cows. A haven of peace.

This cute weekender is situated on the edge of a small fishing village, Cape Jervis (on the mainland) gateway to Kangaroo Island. Whether your heading to the island or leaving, this is perfect location to stop, unwind, revive before you continue your journey.
