Overlook the City's Rooftops at a Bright, Bohemian Haven

In the apartment you will find: - 1 big living room with a comfortable sofa, armchair, big working/dining table and a TV, overlooking the rooftops of Ghent - 1 fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, water boiler, dishwasher, fridge, French press and coffee grinder - 1 bedroom for 2 people (king size bed) overlooking the main street - 1 smaller bedroom with a box spring bed for 2 people and a desk - 1 bathroom with a bathtub and a standing shower - separate toilet - utility room with a washing machine, drying machine, ironing board, iron and a drying rack The apartment is equipped with a high-speed Wi-Fi. Bed linen and towels are provided, along with a shampoo, conditioner, make up remover, body lotion and various other hygienic products. Please take note, that the apartment is not suited for young children (say under the age of 5) since we are not equipped for this and also the furniture is not adjusted (glass coffee table for example). The apartment is on the 3rd floor, with no elevator. The apartment is very close to both public buses and trams. You will find the nearest tram station, Vogelmarkt (tram line 2), just around the corner, and the nearest bus station, Gent Zuid (most bus lines), a couple of streets away. A friend or I will welcome you and provide you with keys and a tour of the apartment. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions at all! The flat is nestled in a traffic-free street a short walk away from the very centre of the city, close to charming shops, hip bars, amazing restaurants and historical sights. All guests have a private apartment, there is 1 apartment per level. So there is a lot of privacy. Downstairs we have a laundry, which you can use. We have a chocolate atelier, where you are always welcome ! The setting is immediately adjacent to the city's famous Graffiti Street. A tasting in the chocolate studio below is a must, after which stroll to some of Ghent's many boutiques, and perhaps the weekend antiques market in nearby St Jacob's Square. From the railway station, you take the MAIN tram line no 1 to the city centre, we are at 300m from the stop GRAVENSTEEN (castle)

Our high-end duplexapartment is very accessibly located in between the 'Kouter' (rectangle square where the Flemish Opera is) and the medieval center (St-Bavo-Cathedral, Graslei, Korenmarkt, Gravensteen to name a few highlights). Brand new, comfortable and classy, with a library-staircase which is not only an eyecatcher. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Sunny terrace! We called our gem "LaCasitaBelMundo”, just adding the dot Gent, to get the full picture.

In a 5-store old city center house build in the 1800s, the lowest streatlevel floor where then in those days the kitchen personal and the maids lived, is completely rebuild in 2022 to a 88m2 guest appartment with all comfort you need to make your visit to Ghent perfect. The location is exacly on the spot where untill the 1860 the old city gate “Brugse poort” was located, Private parking is possible on demand. Everything you want to visit is just a short walk away.

Burgstraat 17 is an old Patrician house constructed in 1515. Later the house was split in 2 houses and became neglected for many years. In 2019 we started the renovation, with as only purpose, to keep the soul and respect the history and grandeur of the original house. Its exceptional history, unique architecture and central position made it worth doing so. Tears, joy and a lot of work resulted in the place where you are right now. We hope you enjoy and respect this place as much as we do.

With the two bikes that are included in your stay, the Korenmarkt is a mere 15 minutes away. Bakery, butcher, supermarket and cafés within walking distance. Parking nearby and easy to reach by bus or tram, with stops less than 1 km away. There’s a good bus service to and from the train station Gent-Sint-Pieters.

This terrace is right next to the river De Leie which crosses the city. We’ll supply you with fresh bed linens, towels, kitchen towels, a few rolls of toilet paper, soaps and shampoo. We also provide some Dash washing machine pods, some teabags and Nespresso cups for a small price to make your stay even more relaxing.

This house offers you an ideal place to work, live and feel at home.

Only 1 km from trainstation Gent Dampoort, 800m from the Flixbus stop, and 300 m from the busstop (line 11) that brings you to the city centre. Distance to the historic city centre (Vrijdagmarkt, Sint-Jacobskerk) is 2 km. We also have FREE BIKES for you. Parking in the street costs 3,5 euro per day (between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.).
