The Old Barn is at the far end of a long wing of a lovely family farmhouse just outside a rural village in the stunning landscape of North Dorset. Its amazing views look over Dorset, Somerset & Wiltshire. The Old Barn is a very large studio space 12m x 4.5m with a king size bed, an additional double bedroom is available by prior & separate arrangement, the ensuite bath & shower is between the two rooms. The Annexe is 15 minutes drive from Poole town centre and the local beaches. There is a bus stop at the top of the road which serves the local area but a short walk up the hill to the main road is an abundance of buses which can take you to Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole & beyond. A selection of take away restaurants are close by along with a CoOp supermarket, Waitrose & an Iceland. On your arrival there will be a welcome pack of fresh bread, milk, cereals, butter and tea and instant coffee.

It is a good base for exploring the area, offering historic houses, interesting gardens, walks, the Jurassic Coast, Stonehenge, Salisbury and Bath and much more.

The harbour at West Bay (setting for ITV’s drama Broadchurch) is a pleasant 10 minute walk away. The bustling historic town of Bridport is only 5 minutes by car or about 25 minutes on foot. There you will find a twice weekly street market, a variety of shops and a good choice of pubs and cafes. Both Bridport Leisure Centre and the Golf Club with driving range are nearby.

It is a peaceful and idyllic place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle of Lyme Regis, which is a 1.5 mile picturesque stroll along the river.
